Is there any other site with the story? I searched Google news but came up with nothing. Could you cut and paste it for us Evilhomer?

Well done to her, and to her NYPD colleagues for supporting her. Sadly, many people would not have been so supportive.

I hope she finds happiness being who she wants to be.

Congratulations to Miss Lo. It takes a lot of courage to do such a thing.

Serious question: Cops are usually touching (pun intended) about who frisks who. Male cops usually frisk men, female cops usually frisk women, TS cops frisk ???, ??? cops frisk TSs.

J Lo should be the cop on the beat at Allanah's parties, lol.

Now that's a cool story. Not all cops are the intolerant goons we sometimes come across. I'm glad they showed love for their colleague like that.

There is hope.

Use firefox.... http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/central.html

then install the BugMeNot extension... http://roachfiend.com/archives/2005/02/07/bugmenot/

and you can then log into all kinds of sites without having to register first...sweet

I do use Firefox (and IE, and sometimes Netscape and Opera, on XP, 2000, and Mac OSX--hey, I'm a web developer) but I've never used bugmenot. How do they get around username authentication? I'll have to check that out.

It's a password sharing site! No secret technology, but not something I can endorse because it amounts to stealing. Maybe the NY Times can afford it, but as a webmaster I certainly can't justify it.

I tried to instal it but nothing happened ...maybe it installed ...I'll see next time I have to log on to one of these sites.
