I saw this vid on YouTube from Jenny Jones show about transsexual twins from the early nineties, and put and put it together with a story I had known.

Channel was murdered, by a man who claimed he did not know she was transsexual, on November 20, 1995, after meeting her and her sister Gabrielle in a gay bar.

He received a minimum 4 ½ year sentence. According a HA forum member who knew Gabrielle, she never got over the murder of her sister and died of a drug overdose.

Presumably William Palmer walks free among us. But I do believe that raised awareness will keep such tragedies from repeating.

As I contemplate this, I am at a loss for words…We were all brought to this planet to express love. I love you all.

Justice has NOT been surved. The murderer should have been put away for LIFE. You take a life, you get life. PERIOD.

Why wasn't that classified as a hate crime?

He should still be in jail!!!!!!!!!!

Don't assume that the jurisdiction invovled has a hate crime law on the books. Also, this was in 1995, I doubt even New York had a hate crime bill back then.
