Yep, been there, done that. The web's a stateless environment (in more ways than one, but I mean maintaining state), so what's typed into a text box is often lost unless it's cached by your browser. When I type a long post, I try to remember to control-a/control-c before submitting, so that I've retained the content in case of accident.

But you're right I have written one of my 'novel length
posts, and have had it dissappear.

So I'll do what what E has pointed out which is to copy it,
or even write it in Word.

ad infinitum, ad nauseuam, etc, and so forth,........

Now that you mention it, I believe I will buckle down, and work
on my vim, I do some of my posting from a laptop and it can
be a pain, vim would help.
