FOR THE LADIES: When do you tell?

This is inspired by NYTSJulie about having issues with GGs basically putting salt in her game. She was feeling a guy and was basically hated on by a mutual associate. Kelly responded with a similar story where she definitely had a hater in the mix. So although I'm sure this has probably been asked before but when do you tell someone you're interested in that you transitioned into a woman?

When he asks me on a date, if we are just talking on the bar and on the phone I don't say anything. As soon as it turns to the romantic point of a 'date' I let him know.

However there has been times that I broke those rules and just told the guys straight out and by luck it worked out for me in a good way. However I got lucky and I know it.
