I don't know which one to choose

the Mylo
http://www.infosyncworld.net/resources/products/sony/sony_mylo_p01.jpg
syncs seamlessly with my PS3 and with ORB and Winamp I have access to my pc's complete music & video catalog wherever I am provided there's a nearby wireless access point.

the 810
http://www.infosyncworld.net/resources/products/nokia/nokia_n810_i00.jpg
does everything my smartphone does, has 1 gig more internal memory than the Mylo, and I could probably sync it with my pc via ORB as well

the 810 looks more professional, for those meetings when I want to act like I'm listening but I'm really reading some ass kissers post here on HA, or one of the broads puts up a hot picture of themselves.........hey Nikka (lol)

the 810 is $180 more than the Mylo, not that it means much just thought I'd mention that

any thoughts?

I'd go with the Sony, simply because that company has never, ever let me down. Also, charging $180 extra for pretty much the the same product reeks of 'trying for the prestige dollar'.

I'd go for the Mylo. Fuck everyone else at the meetings. They'll probably just be jealous of you if you pull one of those things out and start messing with it.

If you're looking for an alternative, however; you could always try Htechcomp's 8925 Tilt. It's locked for AT&T's network, but you can get them unlocked and adjust the UMTS settings.

yeah I have an HTC now, I can't live without it
I like the tilt, I'm not sure about that removable keyboard though

unlocking is not a prob, I'm on AT&T's network, but I unlock my phones anyway so I can use whatever GSM network is dominant in the area I'm in at the time

I work customer support for AT&T. If you have any questions or problems with your account, shoot me a private message and let me know and I'll take care of it.

Same goes for anyone else on here.

I have an N800. If I were you, I'd buy that and then spend the extra money on a BT keyboard. The N800/N810 is essentially a full-on Linux computer (people have even ported KDE to it) and the N800 can be updated to use the same OS version as the N810 (I haven't flashed mine yet but I will soon).

The mylo is a kids thing for instant messaging. The N800/N810 is a real computer for adults. I haven't tried a mylo but the browser on the N800 is nice, even playing YouTube (which the iPhone can't because it doesn't have Flash). I often post on HA from the N800.

mylo: 63 x 123 x 23.9 mm (150g)
N800: 75 x 144 x 13 mm (206g)

mylo: 2.4" screen; 320x240 resolution
N800: 4.1" screen; 800x480 resolution (I've watched plenty of anime on it, it's nice)

mylo: 1 x Memory Stick Duo - 4GB for $60
N800: 2 x SDHC - 4GB for $20

* I love to listen to internet radio and Last.fm (Vagalume (http://people.igalia.com/berto/))

* The built-in speakers are built-in speakers but not too bad.

* My photo in the "Show me your wash face" thread was taken with my N800 ~ crappy yes, but the mylo has nothing. EDIT: apparently the mylo2 announced today has a 1.3MP camera (the N800 is the basic webcam 640x480 = 0.3MP)

* mylo doesn't have Bluetooth. The N800 can pair not only with headphones but also with a cellphone for its internet connection.

* The N800 also will score you many more geek points ^_^

If you want, you can look into the mylo 2 (http://gizmodo.com/339855/mylo-2-has-new-design-touchscreen-flash-support), which was just announced at CES today. It now has flash and a touchscreen... oooooh. Apparently the browsing still sucks though. Whatever.

For $220, there's no other choice ~ get the N800.

I'd take the Sony Mylo anyday before the Nokia because even though it's cheaper, it looks much better and also it's made by arguably the best electronics company in the world.

actually Zoe I was referring to the latest Mylo, believe me I know that original Mylo sucked bigtime

I'll consider the N800 but most likely get the 810 do to the modest improvements, and the fact that i can use my infrared bluetooth k/b makes it worthwhile
