That's because you don't understand what it is to be an artist.

There's almost always something wrong with the great ones.

To make it plain and short, The social/psychological profile on the graph of someone you would consider average, say a doctor, lawyer, teacher, accountant, bus driver, etc........on a horizontal graph-type (kinda like a hospital heart monitor graph or something) people like them, their graph lines will typically remain constant. Some dips, occasional peaks, but for the most part it will stay steady.


Now an artist, those that create and/or perform, musicians, singers, songwriters, painters, dancers, actors, performing artists, etc.........those people's graph charts will often read more erratic with extremes. On those charts you'll see that they often have extreme highs, and extreme lows. They summon so much energy to create the high (the great performance) that they exhaust themselves and go to the low extreme (the depression).

They often do not function well in daily tasks like common people. There is almost always something "wrong" with them that will turn the general public/workforce off. They are often drug addicts, sociopathic, moody, depressive, sex addicts, homosexual, narcissistic, insecure, hypochondriatic, and/or a host of other issues, sometimes in multiple combination.

If they didn't have this high, they wouldn't be able to do the great feats or work they do that can hardly be replicated.

I also notice that those people tend to be admired and even envied for their abilities and seemingly posh lifestyle, but make no mistake about it......


it all comes at a price.......a severe one at that.
