That's a great question, heh.

Bloodrock's "DOA" is a pretty suckish song, creepy story about a car accident. Someone would always slap it into a tape deck at a party, when everyone else was too stoned to stop them.

It's a shitty song, and it's disturbing. I'm sure it still sucks.

This thread seems to be going in odd directions.

The third girl I fell in love with, I told her to listen to this song on her way back home from LA. We're not in love anymore, but it's a good song.

not really a song

Magic Man by heart was pretty disturbing when I first heard it, but performed so incredible that it's not entirely disturbing.

Most of "The Proposition" soundtrack is pretty strange.

Anything by Webern or Schoenberg probably.
And the first Silent Hill soundtrack was pretty disturbing... the later ones are too trip-hoppy.

The song itself isn't really that creepy, just the video...

Like the Come to Daddy video. I saw that when I was little and the screaming toothy grey guy gave me nightmares for years..

That is a good one.

I've got a Mojo Nixon cover of "Girlfriend in a Coma" that's pretty disturbing. Morrisey doesn't want to run into Mojo on a dark night.

There's a traditional Appalachian ballad called "The Banks of the Ohio" that will raise the hair on your neck. It's based on a murder that took place in eastern Kentucky in the late 1700's.

I hated to hear versions of that song on the radio when I was a kid because I sure as hell wasn't going to sleep afterwards.

Agreed, without the video it's just another song. It's just that, once I saw the music video, it always starts playing in my head when I hear the song. <shivers> :-)

For creepy song in itself, I'd would suggest Marilyn Manson's 'Kinderfeld'.

"I remember .....we were flying along and hit something in the air...." LOL!!!

There was song out at the same summer as "DOA" called "Timothy" that was pretty bad. It was about miners trapped in a cave-in,who are out of food and have to eat Timothy. Only at the very end of the song do you learn that Timothy was a mule.

Sister, by Prince. Found on his Dirty Mind album. The lyrics are below.

I was only 16 but I guess that's no excuse
My sister was 32, lovely, and loose
She don't wear no underwear
She says it only gets in her hair
And it's got a funny way of stoppin' the juice
My sister never made love to anyone else but me
She's the reason for my, uh, sexuality
She showed me where it's supposed to go
A blow job doesn't mean blow
Incest is everything it's said to be
Oh, sister
Don't put me on the street again
Oh, sister
I just want to be your friend
I was only 16 and only half a man
My sister didn't give a goddamn
She only wanted to turn me out
She [took a whip to] me until I shout
"Oh, [motherfuckersjustamotherfucker]
Can't you understand?"
Oh, sister
Don't put me on the street again
Oh, sister
I just want to be your friend
I know what you want me to do
Put me on the street
And make me blue
Oh, sister, oohoohoooow

Agreed. Well, maybe not disturbing, but it might be one of the most hilarious and offensive songs I've ever heard.

In a similar vein, and definitely NOT funny, Slayer's 213 gets my vote.

Be My Girl - Sally by The PoliceOMG - good choice.

For those not familar with this song, here are the lyrics.

Be My Girl-Sally

Won't you be my girl
Won't you be my girl
Won't you be my, be my,
Be my girl

I was blue and lonely, I couldn't sleep a wink
And I could only get unconscious if I'd had to much to drink.
There was somehow, something wrong somewhere,
And each day seemed grey and dead

The seeds of desperation were growing in my head.
I needed inspiration, a brand new start in life,
Somewhere to place affection, but I didn't want a wife.
And then by lucky chance I saw [in] a special magazine
An ad. that was unusual, the like I'd never seen,

"Experience something different with our new imported toy,
She's loving, warm, inflatable and a guarantee of joy."
She came all wrapped in cardboard, all pink and shrivelled down

A breath of air was all she needed to make her lose that frown.
I took her to the bedroom and pumped her with some life,
And later in a moment that girl became my wife.

And so I sit her in the corner and sometimes stroke her hair
And when I'm feeling naughty I blow her up with air
She's cuddly and she's bouncy, she's like a rubber ball,
I bounce her in the kitchen and I bounce her in the hall.
[And now my life is different since Sally came my way]
I wake up [in the] morning and have her on a tray
She's everything they say she was and I wear a permanent grin,
And I only have to worry in case my girl wears pins.

Won't you be my girl
Won't you be my girl
Won't you be my, be my,
Be my girl

"The Ledge" by the Replacements. It's a good old fashioned suicide song. It really drew me in and freaked me a little out when I was a teen.

"Amelia" by the Mission UK. Incest is pretty fucking disturbing.

I suppose Pearl Jam's "Jeremy" was disturbing at first, but after the millions of spins it got on radio, it lost some of that.

Tons more....
