Ive been to one, and will most likely attend another. However, i will be honest and state to you why i myself am apprehensive to attend every party.

1) Picture taking. I am not cool with my picture being taken and splashed all over the web without my permission. Yea the faces are blacked out, but still. In the judgemental society we live in, anyone with an alternative sexual appetite is looked down upon. Not all of us want our loved ones to know what we are into, i for one am NOT COOL with my picture being taken without my permission with a TS in my lap. In my opinion, its not right. Some may disagree with me but hey, its how i feel.

2) I go into these parties looking for a girl to interact with and perhaps form a friendship that will outlive the nite. Some girls at the parties are just there to make money thru lapdances and going home with a guy. Thats fine with me, but the constant solicitation and dirty looks when you say you are not interested can get annoying.

I guess those are my only 2 gripes. Ill probably be a total hypocrite and attend the party 2morrow, get a couple lapdances, and have my picture taken and put on here the next day. lol

Great question. A number of reasons.

#1 - I was never much for the bar/club scene on any level and feel a little out of place. I am more at home one on one with a girl or going on a date or something else. I gusee I woulf feel like a fish out of water.

#2 - Normally I never need anyone to do anything. However I would feel better with another person with me. Years ago (maybe 7) I went to cafe Eidelweiss on 11th ave. I got there around 1:00 a.m., maybe 2:00. I noticed working girls on the street but was not there for an escort.
Most if the really hot girls were not there. A few were and only one of them approached me looking for $$$$ I have talked about it with my gf and she will go with me

#3 - I generally do not like parties. Of any kind. LOL. Oly on Halloween.

My primary reason is schedule. Even our local gig (Kalina's Monday Night T-Girls) is a challenge because of my freaky schedule. I start work at 3 AM on some days, 1 AM on others, and 6 AM on others. It sux, but almost pays the bills. :roll:

Second is travel expense. I'd so love to catch one of Alannah's or Sunny D's events, but the best hotel I've found (On the same block as Moomia) is $169 a nite if I book waaaaay in advance. Not unreasonable for Manhattan, but the fucking parking is another $75 a nite! :shock:

Last is the fact that I'm not a club person. I'm agorophobic and have panic attacks just being in a fucking donut shop. :( There may come a day when I get to one of the parties, but I'll surely be the man of stone while I am there as all of my muscles tense up.

Pictures? Take mine! Often! If it will get people to stop fucking wasting their votes on me for governor it will be a strong advance in the electoral process. Jeez, burn your vote on someone like Kucinich ferchrissake. :roll:

1- Action starting around midnight at what are mostly Sun-Thurs night events. I realize that this is done because the locations are cheap then, but it doesn't work for anybody with a "normal" daytime job, over the age of 35-40 anyway, you know, guys with money & stability who might be a decent LTR bet. I understand the no photo thing. It made me apprehensive at first but I attended last saturday nights party to see for myself.

I sat at the bar and had a couple drinks. I didn't notice any camera activity except for in the back room where all of the lapdances were going down. I wasn't there for a lappy so it didn't really enter into any 'I don't want to get photo'd' situation.

There sure were some beauties floating around. I was approached tactfully by several, more and more as the night drew to a close. Nobody was agressive, too pushy for drinks or whatever.

As I sat minding my own business several girls struck up nice conversations. The security was really good about keeping the bathroom line moving and the crowd was upbeat. There were what appeared to be some openly gay guys at the party, but that is better than the 'expected' mass of furtive tranny chasers that tend to creep out the entire room of partygoers. You know the type, no social skills, nurseing one cola, and looking for the freebie that is never coming their way.

It was a nice party, well worth the cover charge and a HUGE upgrade to trannyparties I have attended in the past.

My only complaint was that it was really crowded and a bit challenging to find one's personal space to relax and check out the hotties. I was told that the moomia space was much bigger so I will try that one out next week.
