I read something not long ago; that men who are attracted to all kinds of women are less likely to be found attractive by the women they pursue. I tend to prefer short, petite women, but not always. A true beauty gets me everytime, be she from Korea or Klamath Falls. One thing I've noticed is that many of my girlfriends have turned out to be suffering from depression. Whether there's a connection between that and my being attracted, or just that there's a lot of depressed women out there I can't say. The most beautiful woman I've ever been friends with was one of those 'up' people most of the time...but I never wanted to be with her except that she was so fine, because she just didn't seem as deep to me. I must confess to enjoying being seen out with her...once an entire group of men sitting near our table shushed each other as we walked by...it was a strange mix of enjoying the moment and feeling a fraud, you know? :lol:

My last lover was one of the most interesting people to talk to, and she had the added bonus of being a good enough musician that we would sit around playing guitars together, and she could sing like Bonnie Raitt. It was really cool to be able to talk music with her. But she just wasn't my type physically, and I had to distance myself from her sexually - luckily she took it well and resumed another old romance without missing a beat.
Liking someone's personality is fine and all, but the difference between a friend and a lover is that you wanna sex 'em, or should be (and they feel the same way of course.) The thing is, I'm an average looking man. I've been compared to Dan Ackyoyd, Dana Carvey and Tobey McGuire by various people. Until I get my life happening career-wise and more importantly, socially, I'd better be resigned to being single as long as I'm going to keep holding out for a looker.
