Just took a whole batch of Verbal reasoning and Numeracy tests today for the Civil Service Graduate Fast Stream exam, and I dunno what happened to my brain! Seriously these things are fucked up. 20 minutes to answer 40 dense questions on percentages...aagh! All I wanna do is sit behind a desk and answer dopey emails, not run the effing country lol!
University has really slowed down my brain... If you want to stay sharp DON'T TAKE AN ENGLISH LIT DEGREE haha
Anybody else had to jump through bullshit Human Resources tests just so they can get a fairly average job? The scary thing is I'm only like 1/7th through the process, still have to do the four (FOUR!!) interviews, assessment day, presentation and (get this) CREDIT/BACKGROUND/HEALTH checks!
End of rant. Working for the government had better be worth it.
