Nice Kira! and in terms of pedophileyness, Gargamel takes the cake! He reminds me (color his hair gray and see for yourself) of the creepy old guy Herbert on Family Guy.

Leverage87
11-16-2007, 04:10 AM
Ya know... now that I think about it, Darth Vader is essentially Dr. Doom with a lightsaber.

Oh, and Kira, I'm gonna bring out my nerdiness here and say Silver Surfer is a cosmic being (I think the comics use male pronouns, not sure though) and he is at some points, both a hero and a villain, although he is more often then naught a hero.

stillies77
11-16-2007, 04:12 AM
yeah the surfer is a hero who (was) being forced to serve galactus to save his people from being destroyed by him...so in the end his villainous acts all come back to why he is there in the first place...

HERO.

The SilverSurfer is both hero and villian depending on which story you are reading, but mostly hes a hero doing the work of a villian to save something he loves

Leverage87
11-16-2007, 04:13 AM
I always thought the surfer was kind of a tool anyways though.

Then again, I'm more of a fan of villains and anti-heroes.

Not to seem too much like a total loser but the name is Ra’s Al Ghul. Some would say that Ra’s Al Ghul is Batman without the moral code. If you saw Batman Begins he was played by Liam Neeson.

Why are you all so ashamed of your interest in comics? I say embrace your inner geek!

Comics are cool! But the est hero out there is...The TICK!

"Destiny's powerful hand has made the bed of my future, and it's up to me to lie in it. I am destined to be a superhero. To right wrongs, and to pound two-fisted justice into the hearts of evildoers everywhere. And you don't fight destiny. No sir. And, you don't eat crackers in the bed of your future, or you get all... scratchy."

The coolest villain is ...The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight!

"So he says to me, 'You gotta do something smart, baby. Something BIG! He says, 'You wanna be a super villain, right?' And I go yeah, baby, YEAH! YEAH! WHAT DO I GOTTA DO? He says, 'You got bombs, blow up the comet club, it's packed with super heroes, you'll go down in SUPER VILLAIN HISTORY!' And I go yeah, baby, 'cause I'm the Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight! Aaaaaa-hahahahaha!"

Hmm, been reading comix since 1957, very hard to pick a fav hero or villian. Different eras had different classics:

1950s: Superman/Lex Luthor - classic

1960s: FF/Dr Doom - set the tone for the 60s and later (btw, when I first saw Star Wars, I said Darth Vader is Dr Doom with a light saber)

1970s: Daredevil/Darkseid - Daredevil got me interested in comix again (before there was the Dark Knight, there was Frank Miller's Daredevil), and Darkseid is one of Kirby's greatest creations

1980s: Dr. Jon Osterman (Doctor Manhattan)/Adrian Veidt (Ozymandias)Dr Manhatten/Ozymandias - the Watchmen, the all-time highwater mark of superhero comix

1990s: John Constantine/Lucifer (or maybe John Constantine/John Constantine, innit)

2000s: Bigby Wolf/Geppetto, with an anti-hero nod to Jack (Fables is brilliant)

All time: Dr Manhatten/Ozymandias

Hero(es) I think I'd have to go with the Blue Beetle/Booster Gold combo from the Giffen/Dematias era Justice League. They were a blast. I'm also a big fan of the JSA, but they're more of a team effort than individual heroes that stand out.

Villain wise, I have to go with my all time favorite, Harvey Dent/Two-Face. Doctor Doom is a fairly close second, especially as portrayed in Doctor Strange/Doctor Doom: Triumph and Torment.

haha

Added Info: Silver Surfer originated in Fantastic Four comic book series. Galatcus gave (endowed) him (Radd) with the " power cosmic" when he transformed him into the silver surfer -who now possessed various
superhuman abilities on extraoridinary levels.
(Though to this day i don't know how Galactus thought to give him
a cosmic "surfboard " to add him in flight and universal travels)

In revenge for the Surfer teaming up with the FF and betraying him, Galactus
forced an invisible barrier (meant only for Surfer )to prevent him from the
leaving the Earth's atmosphere. Though i believe the barrier has since been
broken with the help of Dr. Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic)
