After viewing every episode so far I can only say that this show is likely to be cancelled soon. The acting is horrendous. I would expect more from Donald Sutherland and Jill Clayburgh. Peter Krause has 4 word lines and just smirks the rest of the time. :?
The 2 actors that make watching DSM bearable are Billy Baldwin and the gorgeous Candis Cayne. I am glad that they did not digitally alter her voice again after that first show disgrace. As a TS girl she makes me proud and I hope she is nominated for an Emmy. She deserves it. The rest of the show makes me think that the writers strike actually started when they began this show.
She is a phenomenal actress and entertainer and will go far after this show. Her success in the mainstream is encouraging and should make all of her trans sisters proud of who we are.

I'm inclined to agree with you. This show seems like a real wasted opportunity. As soon as they started down the whole 'soap-opera' 'whose child is whose' I started losing interest. And does anybody even care about the guy's murdered dad? not really.

I just started watching the show last week, so i'm only two episodes into it, but I think it's great. It's different than most of what's out there, and doesn't take itself too seriously-and the acting is superb, especially Donald Sutherland.

Subplotitis: a slew of TV today suffer unbearably from excessive subplotitis, as for example Wretched Housewives, Hiros, Grey's 'Samatterme, and far too many others. In such company, DSM actually isn't so bad, though it definitely qualifies as a soap. I love Donald Sutherland in it; he is such an oily, likable weasel. And the Baldwin/Cayne romance is fascinating; I like the way his wife reacted this week upon learning about the affair.
