That doesn't make any sense. If they were turning into corporations then they'd be making money and wouldn't need to close down.

Because the insurance companies are squeezing them out of their research money. Thats why they want tort reform. The premiums are too high for medical malpractise, some of which is neccessay, but there are to many frivolous lawsuits. They than have to close down and the surrounding hospitals get over crowded.
