Mostly hard to find CDs or old school computer games. Generally I don't like to buy things over the net, I have ADD and am severly impatient waiting for shit in the mail.

Bought 2 cars
Italian 6 burner range
Home furnishings
and endless things i can't find in the stores

Plus i don't have to walk through the malls with people coughing and sneezing during the holidays, which usually cuts back on my getting a cold.

*wow just as i ended writing that i sneezed all over my monitor...ironic

and you?......... :)

DVDs, CDs, some harder-to-find books, a few i-tunes (I needed some big band swing music) and certain hard-to-get-in-the-local-stores things: (Eg., guitar finger picks, carpet shampoo hose, audio-to-computer thing).

Yup.. LOADS

recently..

glass and steel dildos
Technics 1210's (record decks)
Lube (ID)
Pair of photography lights & stands
Hair for my hair extensions
F/F nylons

And the best ever was this weekend... bought a complete set of 'subliminal' 12'' records from 1997 to present day over 230 of them.... a bargain at £450 (I can't WAIT to pick them up on thursday)

NOTE:my new partners credit card was used fraudulently last week after using it on the net and someone in Canada withdrew over $800 in three days...

Thankfully the bank realised what was happening and hasn't taken it from his account..

Being a hermit, net-shopping is a gawdsend for me. I've bought appliances, computer programs, technojunque, toys, games, porn, and uncounted eBay crap for my collections, gifts, house, etc. At one point I even bid on F. Lee Bailey's old limousine (But my bid, though reasonable, did not meet the reserve). Very sweet Lincoln stretch, but one question: Why did Lee have his name engraved into the interior woodwork? Was he afraid he'd forget who owned the car?

Most recent consideration for online purchase: A 1982 Checker Marathon A12E Seven Passenger Sedan. A dream car of sorts for me, but sadly out of my budget at the moment. :(

Dammit. :x

This is all very encouraging. :)

What about buying from other countries?
Do you, if not, why not [apart from the fear of card fraud]?

I've had rather good luck with this. Mostly from Canadia and the UK, but some from Germany, one from one of the Scandiniavian countires.

Best: Bought a really cool T-shirt of the Moscow Metro/Mokba Metpo and when the charge showed up on my bill I found that their office is just a few miles away from me in Wimmenten (Wilmington). So bizarre. The shirt, BTW, was shipped directly from Moscow.

All the time, and I have been buying online since 1997 or so. Most recent purchase in fact arrived a few hours ago, a new Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6 VR lens from B&H Photo.

I buy thing online all the time. Im a deal hunter, been that way since I was like 15. Im not on eBay as much as I used to be though. But eBay and craigslist i always am fond of. I dont see the point in buying porn anywhere around here though, when you can buy it online for way less. Naughtbids.com is a good site for that.

I do a little selling online too. I sold a couple motorcycles, flyer designs, and I designed a few websites for a couple people.

Since I' m always on a computer, it is the preferred method of shopping
for me.

I still value the 'brick and mortar experience' from time time, but for
expediency, afficacy, and cost savings, I'll usualy opt for cyber-shopping.

In the UK things are very expensive so it makes more sense buying from other countries. I also buy porn online, rather than have the embarrasment of bringing a dvd up to the counter lol.

All the time. Everything.

Same here. Certainly computer hardware, DVDs, even specialty food (hello SeaBear.com!). 99% of my Xmas purchases. Earlier in the month I purchased the largest item I ever have online, from 6th Avenue via Amazon.com, a 50" Panasonic plasma, which I was wary as heck of doing (arrived a-ok). With a $200 rebate from Panasonic, the savings was $600 over Worst Buy and Circuit Shitty.

All the time. I have over 200 feedback on e-Bay and I've been on there since '01. DVDs (porn & mainstream), video games, models, various computer parts. I once helped a guy at the firehouse buy a car in Texas once too. Amazon & e-Bay are my main ports of entry. And I have bought stuff from Europe (UK mainly) and Hong Kong. I make sure they have excellent feedback first and nothing too expensive either. I've actually found shipments from Canada takes longer than stuff from Europe many times. Mahalo

So the S&H didn't disqualify the savings?

He probably qualified for free shipping. Happens alot and it doesn't take much to reach the threshold. Mahalo

Besides buying my memberships to certain websites, I've used the net to purchase rare/out-of-print compact discs, audio-video accessories, some automotive books, and of course porn. I haven't been on eBay in awhile though; I pretty much have everything I need.

i buy a few things online on ebay with paypal. never bought porn online, i don't have a problem walking into an adult store and getting a movie that way. infact it is how i met one... my best friend of all time.

the only porn i have that i have not gotten through an adult store is a couple movies on Pay Per View on TV that the store doesn't have.

No, there wasn't any. No tax either.
