Well, I'd like to thank all of you that have served in the military, thank you for protecting our freedom.

I myself haven't served, but I have been considering it, and I do have 4 friends in the Marines, and 1 in the Navy, and I know that they are proud to be a part of the Military.

I was in the boy scouts ... but got asked to leave for not following directions :-(

Not wanting to derail the topic, there are a lot of active military, currently members of our sites and ordering DVD's from us. I've a friend who is a Colonel who was surprised by this, I was asking him what sort of risk they were taking getting DVD's sent to their APO (?) - not for the don't ask part but for the ragging from colleagues they'd get if found with this material?

Anyway - let's hope all those currently serving get home ASAP and with less casualties then we've seen recently.

Kira,
You are absolutely right. Had it not been for all of our guys and gals that are in the service now, you and the others here that we inlisted as well as all of the others before us. We would most likely no be having this forum as we know it.

M77, I have never met a Ranger in my life before, although i have met some people who flunked out of the boot camp. I've heard its pretty intense as far as most boot camps go.

Anyways, I'd just like to show my appreciation again to everybody here who has served, and I also hope that our troops will return safely, and to a warm welcome.

I would quote men of honor, but I don't want to turn the famous quote into catastrophe, needless to say, there are people up there on those walls, defending our freedom, and much of the time we don't give them the respect they deserve.

Thanks for the recognition to us vets, Kira. It is much appreciated. Unfortunately, when I served with the U.S. Army from 1968-1970, including a year in Viet Nam, we received little thanks and a lot of scorn. It is nice to be appreciated. And if you don't mind my saying it, you are gorgeous as well as patriotic.
