View Full Version : Luna555 don't get Surgery - Voice your opinion

Luna555 says she is going to get facial feminization surgery! Let's all voice our opinions and try to convince her of how gorgeous she is and what a big mistake it will be.

I understand this is her decision to make and I respect her wishes but this is a friendly thread to remind a gorgeous trans sister of how trully beautiful and gorgeos she is.

Ok so we are all defending the fact that it's her decision, and yes this is true, but do you think she needs it? That is the question. Support her in whatever decision she makes but let's tell her what a beautiful woman she already is. Natual is always better, I know... I had plenty of surgery myself, but in her case I think it will be a mistake.

Again, I am not trying to start drama - just speaking the honest truth

I agree with Danielle. But at the same time if Luna finds herself happy...so be it...But in my opinion, no. she doesn't need surgery. Some girls are just very lucky to be born with it naturally. But hey, she is going to be the one to face herself in front of the mirror everyday....

I don't think there is enough information. Looking at the top picture... it looks like she could use a little bit of attention to the brow. Perhaps a brow shave?

God has blessed that child with a very beautiful face. It would be a shame for her to go for that little brow shave, have complications, and end up deformed.

It's up to her to decide if the risk is worth the reward.

I think she looks great too Danielle, she is already extremely pretty how she is. So my vote is no she shouldn't. But I do think whatever makes her happy, she should do :).

But the fact that you care enough to make sure she is doing the right thing is admerible to say the least. It shows you are a good person.

" Womenz don't have adamz applez " lol

Women have brow bossing too... I think Luna has got one of the most passible faces on a TS I have ever seen, and that is a true statement. I can usually clock Tgirls from a mile away, but if I was next to her at the store I would not ever think twice. She is up there with Miriam, Gizelle, Jessica Body, Fabiane Spears etc... in my opinion.

I don't see the brow shave as nescessary at all, but yes - it's her call

Danielle Foxxx
11-10-2007, 10:50 PM
I am not jealous of her at all - when I look at her it makes me wish I started hormones at her age. I know beauty when I see it and I see no reason for any surgery. I can't imagine her as a boy, not one bit of her face resembles a man AT ALL. And that is not from jealousy, it is the God's honest truth. I am not in one bit a jealous person. I am blessed in many ways. I have been a girl for 6 years and have passed mentally in my transition what she is now going through and I just wated to show her the support I was never given. That is all. From an old bitch to a beautiful baby.

Ok fine I confess, I wish to god I had a face like hers LOL THE GIRL IS GORGEOUS - SHE LOOKS LIKE A DOLL!!!

Luna is already 100% gorgeous. I'm not ass-kissing or blowing smoke up her skirt (Though that might be fun). She wants what she wants. I know of a couple of other gurls here travelling a similar road of whose appearance I am greatly enamoured. I will never understand how women think.

After...nose work, jaw and chin shaving, lip lifting, brow bossing/eyebrowlift, hair line brought forward.

Luna I see the bump on your nose - that is all

In my opinion not much of a difference to go through so much pain and the risk of having a bad surgery.
You see it because you look at yourself everyday, but baby, look at your heart first, the work should be done from the inside out, like a flower that first starts off as a seed, so must we.

But if it will make you feel happy and fulfilled then go for it. A word of advice, it is a short lived realization, once the high of the new face wears off what prompted you to have the surgery in the first place will still be there.

I am just being a big sister - I hope you understand

Luna555

Just to say to everyone who thinks that Danielle is being negative...or there is something behind this post. I dont take it that way...I think she is doing this with a good heart and she to me is someone I now admire...I know I have never met her but she is the only girl on here that I actually look up to, she has a good head on her shoulders , and she seems to be so honest which is soemthign I admire in any person.

Well, me being new and all, my opinion probably doesn't mean very much, but Luna, I can honestly say, if I were to run into you at the mall, my first thought would be "Damn! She is HOT!"

I really think that you are definately perfect without surgery, but again, like everybody else has said, its your decision.

Danielle Foxxx
11-10-2007, 11:31 PM
Ohhhhhhh, thank you sweety. I have my moments as some can attest, but I am glad you see it that way. I am not " shaddy " and I trully think youl should save your coins for SRS instead. You are a woman and obviously was born to be one.

I told this girl Gabby from LA once at the club. I was really drunk and she got scared LOL, I said " What the fuck are you doing in a tranny club? You should be in a straight club or working towards being the woman you were born to be." She recently had SRS, not because of what I saidofcorse but I am glad she did because God made a mistake in her case.

What are you talking about im not being negative nor do i think you are,im also not being or have every been mean to you.All i'm saying is that maybe you wouldn't be so passable if you haven't gone through your early surgeries,i think by stating she doesn't need any kind of surgery is taking away from her ultimate goal.Do you think many of the girls here wouldn't be the beauties they are today if they hadn't had surgery.

Danielle Foxxx
11-10-2007, 11:35 PM
Well said Brenda. I don't think perfection is what she seeks. I think trans women are born with a fear and self-esteem problems. Some less then others. But as you get a lil older you will realize that somethings aren't really that important and you start focusing on those that are necessary.

The change isn't that big. Its minor.

Legend,
Thank you for making that clear. Some women do need the surgery, in Luna's case it is not necessary.
A good friend of mine told me this " YOU WANT IT - YOU DON'T NEED IT ", wanting something and actually needing it are 2 different things.

I am just looking out for the young girls, thats all.

But thank you

jeez.
i think she was saying that luna is so stunning that she needs no work.
so obviously it was a compliment.
and no i dont think luna needs any surgery either, and i quite like your nose, its cute :D .
but i know luna has made the right decision for her to get this surgery, because i know it will make her more content, and i back her 100% .

i do actually think your one of the most stunning woman i have ever seen.

Luna, I've already expressed my opinion/belief, but if the two pix you posted show your before/after self, then the procedures you are considering seem minor and, if the end result makes you feel better about yourself, then so be it.

I still, truly, believe that you are fine as-is.

Walk slowly, tread well, and keep us up to date.

And yah, Danielle's crazy, but it was with a good heart that she posted this thread for you. :)

Night Rider
11-10-2007, 11:40 PM
But Legend, it's her choice and she looks more passable than 90%, without surgery. If she wants to get it done then I think we all should respect that and not make threads about it.

I'm not brown nosing because she actually is more passable than 90%, if not more.

Luna555

Everyone does...and knowing that sometiems you have your moments is even more admireable because you know that you do and can acknoledge it and maybe stop it when you catch it. I dont really plan on getting SRS right now cause I am scared of all the risks and I am happy right now...but Later on when I want to settle down with someone I think it might be necessary...I dont want my entire life to revolve around my penis. And nope I dont think there is anything "shady" about you, and with every post that you write I admire you even more.

Sometimes a particular photo can hide shapes and contours. But photo after photo no matter the view, you look like a pretty girl. If you took a tiny touch off your nose I could see how it might be better...if they perfomed their operation perfectly. Your lips ? Whats wrong with your lips? They are pretty and natural looking. So many over inject their lips. Are you trying to look over-the-top? If so ok, go for it. You'll also need 60"DDD breast. Then, everyone will know your a woman.
Danielle just hopes that enough people see her natural features and will respond, showing her friend she's already achieved her goal. Extreamly passible as a 'girl'. Not just passible as a 'Tgirl'.
Save the money and buy yourself a classy conserative wardobe. Dress like an elegant woman and you'll be treated as such. You should get on Tim Gunn's (project runway fame) makeover show !

Luna, you may WANT surgery, but you don't NEED it. It would be a huge expense for only a very incremental improvement. There are probably other, better ways you can do much more to improve or advance yourself with the time and money the surgery would require.

at the risk of sounding like a suck up i honestly dont see how your face could look much more feminine
besides any surgical scars would look much worse than any shaving or resizing of bones could improve

nice job! I guess she looks better with a slightly smaller chin. But you do a great job of showing how little the overall affect turns out. She still looks the same. If it was $500, I could see going for it. But it would be thousands of dollars.

JWBL, Quinn, Buddy Thank you all for the compliments...

Thank you Hara and Felicia...I will say this...
I dont hink I ever stated I need surgery...its a want.

Kelly! Yes I cant wait to have lunch with you too!! Love you too!

Xfiver, I dont think I look at all like a Brazilian girl...What do Brazilian girls look like?
I dont want to look like everyone else but in the after shot thats how I would like
to look and if thats the same as every other girl...oh well..
I look in the mirror and I dont like what I see...I think someone
else on here(a girl) said something like this "if I
was born a girl with a vagina and I looked the way I
did before FFS I would think of changing myself because
I didn't have to doubt my look because I was born female...
but being a transsexual is different cause in the mirror you
get constant reminder of what you looked like before
transitioning" or something like that...And I completely
agree. If I was born with a vagina and I looked the
same way I do now...I don't think I would consider surgery...
but because I wasn't I do.

Muhmuh Thank you for the .gif! I have worried about scar tissue but if that happens I could always get Scar Revision.

I hope I look like myself and not anyone else...:(

Personally I really dont think Luna needs any facial work done. The hairline thing is understandable i guess and nosework is so common it's almost standard for many young women but I think the chin and jaw work could be a mistake to be honest as right now she has a nice shape to her face and I'd be reluctant to alter it in case the result isn'tt a improvement.

IMHO, she is already a 10 and I don't know how she could do anything that would make her look better than she already looks. It's like buying a brand new Laborghini LP640 and tearing the body off because you think you can make it look better. She is a stunning beautiful young lady right now. How she can improve on perfection is beyond me.

luna, hon, you know how beautiful i think you are. and you know how dear you are to me. no matter how much surgery you get, no matter how much you change yourself on the outside, you will always be someone i want in my life because i know and have experienced and have been touched by the beauty you have inside.

i love you, luna. do what you feel is right.

Too many people do what they "feel" is right, instead of taking the time necessary to do what they "think" is right. Big difference, you see.

Too much emphasis on feeling, not enough on thought. If you've done the research and think you'll achieve what you want to achieve through surgery, then get the surgery I say. If it doesn't work, then you'll have thought wrong, and at that point you'll have a whole lot of feelings on the matter, no doubt.

Not trying to be funny; it's quite true.

It is not necessary for do any surgery there. The most women in the world would be happy if they could look like Luna.

But Luna, if this is your decision and your strong dream than good luck to you for that the surgery satisfy you. :)

Well, I guess it's time I put my :2cent worth in! Even though, I can't think of one woman, not a single one, that has ever taken my advice in the past....

1.) Luna, it is, most certainly your right to do what you feel is best for you. I don't think anyone here, questions or, disagrees with that.

2.) IMO, you possess a characteristc that very few of the ladies that have entered you community either had or have....God given 'Natural Beauty'. Based on what I have seen of you, so far, I don't see how, even the best of surgeons, could possibly improve on that.

3.) If you feel you need to proceed, I support you, fully....and pray for only the best outcome for you. Should you have any doubts, please, don't proceed until you have resolved them. Once it's done, IT'S DONE.

Luv ya,

IMHO, Danielle is right, you really don't need any surgery. You have a very natural cute and youthful face. It's basic human nature to focus on one's flaws, whether percieved or real, and it's always possible to find something that's not perfect. Heck, I've known many highly attractive GGs who are filled with insecurities about their appearance. But, honestly, many of them would get work done to look like you.

However, plastic surgery is more of an art than a science and it is hard for any surgeon to accurately predict the final results. In addition to the skill of the surgeon, a lot of it depends on your underlying anatomy and the way that your body responds and heals. There is always a danger of making things worse or losing a natural look, and there is no guarantee that the results will meet your expectations (especially in facial surgery).

Just because Dr. O or Dr. Z's calipers say that something is 2 mm too long or 3 mm too short doesn't mean that it will be worthwhile to make adjustments. Based on some of their criterea, I'd bet they could find multiple "flaws" in almost any woman.

With blunt honesty:
I see no problem with your forehead and hairline: There are plenty of hot GGs who have a longer forehead than you. Your eyebrow positioning and underlying bone structure seems fine too. The very minor difference achieved by a scalp advancement/brow lift will not be worth the risks of scarring or misalignment. Your chin looks totally feminine: relatively short, narrow, and slightly pointy. The rest of the features are a matter of taste/personal preference if anything.

In either case, I would recommend that you get multiple consultations to get several opinions on what can/should be done. Just remember that in private practice, the more procedures that a surgeon does, the more he gets paid. And, many surgeons (especially plastic surgeons) tend to have a rather agressive attitude and their self-confidence often exceeds their actual skill.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. But remember, in cases such as this, less is more.

I'm not insecure about my flaws but if people are, then that's their business and they should correct them for their well-being. People are always looking to buy big houses, big cars, etc for self satisfaction, but when a person wants to improve their appearance they jump in like it's their business. Would u say to someone "don't but that house, the one u have at the minute's just fine"??

It makes me laugh how many people on this forum think that because tgirls post here, they have the right to have a say in their personal business.

This girls is obviously very natural looking and pretty as is.

However, what other people see is not always what one sees in the mirror.

I do think that EVERYONE can benefit from FFS surgery. Especially hthe forehead and nose.

Plastic surgery is not always about radical change- but it can also be about refinement and refining features.

I am never one to talk anyoneone out of any surgery- like trying to talk someone out of a sex change.

I think if you really want to change something then you just simply should. If you are happy with it- then that is great too.

As far as therapy is concerened- well it works for some and not for others.

I do think no matter how much therapy you have , or how much you tell yourself you are gorgoeus the reality of life and the world is that we do not live alone and we must face other people constantly.

A trans woman who is very passible of course does nto have to deal with the same issues that a trans woman who is not when she leaves her home.

It's just a matter of learning how to deal with it and your circunstance.

I say if you are able to do it and really want to do it- then do it.

I would NOT listen to the advice of others in terms of what you should do and not do to your body or face as people's opinions about your appearance are just as subjective as you are about yours.

I WOULD listen to the stories and recommendations of other transsexuals who have been through the peocedures you want. I would do my research, interview several doctors, make sure I met patients who had the SAME results you are wanting.
Reasearch, reasearch, reasearch!

With that being said, plastic surgery is also NOT a cure all of your problems. YES, it can change your life and make you feel way better about yourself but you will still be you inside after it's all said and done.

Oh and about Dr. O- he can seem a bit aggressive but he really knows his stuff and he undoubtley does the BEST foreheads.

With a good surgeon, this already pretty girl, could enhance her beauty more, if this is what she so wished.

She is very, very lucky to have such a natural face and such a great foundation to begin with.

The choice wether she wants to stay natural or become more of a bombshell is totally HERS.

But I do see the good intent of everyone here and she is very lucky to look the way she does without surge.

I agree completely with Allanah about refinement and refining features. i love and adore Luna's face as is but at I think a little refinement here and there would probably benefit her from looking beautiful to undetectable beauty. I'm not saying that she is detectable right now, i'm saying is she would have 100% undetectability in this world wherever she goes after few refinements. I still love her her now as is and she knows that, right Luna?! :D But I think, we as a transsexual woman tends to be more hard on ourselves compared to biological girl because as Luna stated earlier in this forum that IF WE WERE BORN AS BIOLOGICAL FEMALES, we would not even probably think of getting anything done because we wouldn't SECOND GUESS ourselves in every where we go, we do. But since we are born like this and since we can't go back to our mama's womb and tell her " hey mom, please when you give birth to me please make sure that I will have a pussy and not a penis" :D then the only option we have in this world is MODERN SCIENCE, MEDICINE, TECHNOLOGY. That's about it. But for what is worth, I know that Luna has the most beautiful asset of all....INNER BEAUTY! :D And i'm sure she will be more beautiful on whatever she does with her body. She will always be the same Luna that we all love because of what she is and not because of what she have. Love you girl. We'll meet each other soon and shop till we drop. :)

while this may sound a bit like saying that youre a psycho i have to agree with danielle

this goes for pretty much everyone though
i think ive yet to meet a single person whos fully content with what they see in the mirror
everyone seems to be their worst critic when it comes to looks and it appears like the better they look the worse of a critic they become... and while i cant speak on this with any authority at all i imagine its several magnitudes worse if you are transsexual

Take it slow, and know when to say enough is enough. IMO one of HAs most popular girls- of course I will not mention her name- looks plastic and unreal. She LOOKS like she's had many surgeries. She's pretty, but in an artifical sort of way. IMO I think Luna's natural beauty beats the unmentioned person's "I want to look so perfect I look unreal" appearance.

I'm sure Luna will not go the the extreme that say an Amanda Lepore has

First off, I wouldn't put the Amanda Lepore end result beyond anyone here, especially when the fact is that having this lifted and that tucked is as common for many of these ladies as buying a new pair of shoes. And secondly, the "after" pic Luna provided as to how she hopes to look afterward reminds me of Jennifer Paris, who in my humble opinion has a face that looks rather cartoonish, so I'm not sure where you'd have any hope that the "plastic and unreal" look wouldn't be the same in this case. I don't know if you were referring to Jennifer Paris or not, but she is an example of that particular look in my opinion, and I don't see how one can even mention a certain look without giving an example, so... there it is.

Now, because I don't have a pic of myself up, that'll be what some people jump on, because the possibility of anyone not finding the plastic look in any way attractive is something they can't fathom. A most predictable lot here, as is the end result of all of this. Surprise! She's gonna get the surgery!

Anyway, kudos to Danielle for a comment you made that apparently was overlooked completely. You probably meant it in a different way than I might have had I said it, but it dealt perfectly with this entire situation. I would explain what I'm talking about, but it would lead to complete madness in this thread in short order and my immediate banning, and I'm kind of trying to stay here at least until Christmas. So... that's that.

Thank you.

While I understand the need for at least some surgery in the overwhelming majority of cases and for the reasons you've provided Gia, what I'd love to know is why it is that all too often, it's an endless cycle? Once one has the body and face of a woman, why is it they almost always decide that they need an even more feminine face, an even more feminine body, a shapelier ass, poutier lips? You know what the end result is? Becoming a living cartoon, that's what. And that's fine really, if that's the intended goal. But is it really?

I mean no disrespect, but when one looks... like you do, for instance Gia... if they still insist on going beyond that to look more feminine (though you, me and everyone else knows most genetic women don't look as "feminine" naturally as you do already)... it is my contention they suffer from a mental problem. Now, I admit that I am by no means a psychiatrist, but I've noticed decidedly different personalities beginning to emerge as this endless "feminization" process progresses. Suddenly, we're blessed with the presence of a diva, who only five years earlier was a very different and much better person, but who now is so full of herself that her every interaction with people tends to result in needless drama. Everybody doesn't turn out as altogether pleasant or attractive as I find yourself and Hara Juku sadly, but then, everybody doesn't suffer from an unrealistic view of what femininity is and an unhealthy body image, which is at the heart of why some people wind up looking like you two do, and others like comic strip characters.

My unsolicited two cents. I do believe I may not make it to Christmas...

I dopn't get what message you are trying to give me though TJ347. I'm not unrealistic about the whole feminine image thing. I'm saying is that If we we're born the right way, we wouldn't even have this discussion right now. I wouldn't even dare touch my natural face if I was born as what I feel inside. I do believe that transsexuals has mental problems one way or another, we think more deeper when it comes to our appearance. But with all that said and done, I still agree with you completely that having inner beauty is more important than anything else. But the reality of the world is that people will care of how you look from the outside, they could care less of how you feel in the inside. You could be the as real as it gets from the inside as a woman but if your outside don't match. It wouldn't do any good of how we want to live in this world. I'm sure you mean well for me , Hara or whoever girls here that say this things about getting it done. I do get your point. That if we already have the natural feminine face, why go through it right? Then again it goes back to the whole thing that I just said earlier. It's like no ending. I don't wanna look like a comic character or a cartoon but i'm going to do what needs to be done to get me there. Thank you for your response. :D

I think what a lot of people are afraid of is that Luna would take her already attractive and passing face and make it into a face that looks done. We all have seen examples of beautiful girls that just felt that they had to get work done only to turn themselves into being overdone.

Here in the south, I have seen far too many girls go overboard with silicone. They will go for a slight boost in their cheekbones to only end up looking like they have on a halloween mask.

If Luna was my girl, I might be afraid that surgery could take away some of that natural beauty that she has. However if it is done right it could be a great tweak.

It doesn't mean that all girls are like this. Although I haven't touched my face yet, I can assure you from now till the next time we meet after my surgeries that I would be the same person you talked to before and always will. Luna from all th photos that I have seen of you, you are a lovely young lady.

I will admit that I haven't read the 10 pages prior to this post.

However I will also admit to being someone that values surgical
intervention in moderation.

Thus I would suggest that you consult with a surgeon, and discuss various
options.

Be fore-warned that many surgeons are very willing to perform
proedures, either because they are money hungry or because they
want to 'surge' a girl up.

When we are young, we tend to be more fem, as we get older if we don't
intervene with HRT, and moderate surgery, we may lose that edge.

Thanks. Have a wonderful day TJ347!!! :D

I didn't mean my previous comments to sound like a generalization of transsexuals far and wide; I was (as is ALWAYS the case) only speaking from my personal experiences, and was in no way trying to insult you with anything I said. On the contrary, I was complimenting you (and Hara) on knowing where to draw the line. While I do realize that some of the things I said may hurt some feelings, that was not my intention, and if I am going to be truthful with my thoughts on various matters, potentially offending someone is unavoidable. Unfortunately.

Suddenly, we're blessed with the presence of a diva, who only five years earlier was a very different and much better person, but who now is so full of herself that her every interaction with people tends to result in needless drama. Everybody doesn't turn out as altogether pleasant or attractive as I find yourself and Hara Juku sadly, but then, everybody doesn't suffer from an unrealistic view of what femininity is and an unhealthy body image, which is at the heart of why some people wind up looking like you two do, and others like comic strip characters.

.

I just want to say something about his comment. I'm sure that some of the girls actually changes attitude wise because of their new appearances from the help of surgeries. It doesn't mean that all girls are like this. Although I haven't touched my face yet, I can assure you from now till the next time we meet after my surgeries that I would be the same person you talked to before and always will. Surgeries is a big confidence booster...i'm sure the ladies can agree to this at some degree but "just because you got prettier and more good looking than you did before doesn't mean you are going to be a bitch or a diva like you said or another person or change your values in life". I know where I stand and I plan on keeping it that way. MORALS & VALUES AND PRINCIPLES are 3 things that is very impotant to my life. If I don't stick with it then I would end up being like someone that i'm not! I have met a lot of girls that got it done and everything and very beautiful now and they are still the same person that i knew before. But I am sure too that some girls tend to be over confident to a point of being mean and putting down people when they got it done...I don't know what their reasons are. But not all girls are the same. It just sounded to me like you generalized us. I am not attacking you, i'm just telling you how I truly feel about what you said. And for a moment there, IT HURT ME. As the saying goes "Truth's dagger really hurts" and I understand now where you are coming from. if by any chance I hurt your feelings, i'm sorry too. Let's just all hope that Luna will do the right thing for herself and only for herself. She heard a lot of what we have to say about FFS surgery and whatever she decides, we'll all support her all the way. Luna, everyone thinks you are as natural as you can get, so I guess we'll leave the final decisions for you! Think and contemplate hard if you really want it! Love you girl! Take care. :D

I guess it MIGHT be too late to put in a plea to Luna to leave her looks as they are. Luna - you have a great natural beauty. Really a lovely face. Don't turn yourself into a stereotype. The lips for instance... WHY! I think you look so terrific.

Appearance wise I can't see how anyone could clock you. I wouldn't think to tell anyone how to live their life, so you do whatever is best for you. Good luck either way. Btw where is that first pic from?

Putting a knife to my face would be the last thing on my mind if I looked like you. You're gorgeous!

Maybe you should instead spend a little of the money by going to a spa and relaxing your mind and body for a few days.
I have found that stress can make a person feel quite ugly and inadequate, despite the contrary.

she is beautiful imo i don't think she needs it but like you said it's her choice.

I understand this is her decision to make and I respect her wishes but this is a friendly thread to remind a gorgeous trans sister of how trully beautiful and gorgeos she is.[/quote]

Completely feminine as she is, no need for any carving. The last thing the world needs is another chopped-up expressionless plastic mannequin.
