The last class act just left town NY,driven out by a lowball tepid contract offer that by all accounts did exactly what it was intened to do...force Torre out.

Im not a Yankee fan,nor am I Yankee hater,but fact is the Yanks lost alot more than a great manager...they lost their only class act...way to go Boss!

it doesn't get any classier than joe torre . i thought it was great how terry francona spoke out 4 his displeasure on how they treated torre during the 1st round of the playoffs. if u are a baseball fan and don't respect torre then u aren't very knowledgeable about baseball.

This season has been disgusting if only for the way the mgmt is running this team and all it stands for into the ground. Between overpaying for shitty clemens, and the way they fucked Mr. Torre, they're making it harder and harder to be a yankee fan.

When the beancounters start running the team, watch out.
