Over time, there are a lot of people that earn our respect (Even if the respect is somewhat shallow in nature).

Take, for example, Ron Jeremy. Though somewhat trollish (And I'm not saying that as a slight against him) he has managed to lay pipe on some extraordinary women over the years.

Or former President Bill Clinton. Say what you will about this guy, but he got mainstream magazines like Delaware Today to start using the word 'blowjob' without fear of reprisal from their readers.

So, I give you this entry:

Ralph Whittington, 57, retired in 2000 as curator of the main reading room at the Library of Congress, but was better known as the "King of Porn" for his private collection that he recently sold (500 boxes' worth) to the Museum of Sex in New York City.

Whittington's home (which he shares with his mother, after his wife left him) was, before the sale, "packed to the rafters," said the Museum's buyer to The Washington Post in August. "Downstairs, you had to walk sideways to get through the rooms." Said Mom, "It's something he loves. You see men his age going to bars or on dope. But he [was] home day and night [indexing and cross-referencing]. That [gave] me peace of mind." [Washington Post, 8-24-07

You go, Ralph! :peanutbutter

No joke, cataloging my own collection (Mostly on disc/HD) is no small matter and that's just the TS vids. Add things like pic sets, mainstream porn, etc. and it almost becomes work.

I assume he used the Gooey Decimal System for that? RIMSHOT!!!!!!!!!!

Can't help but LMAO at that quote.

Obviously, if his pr0n was strewn around the house willy-nilly, his mother would have been dreadfully frightened for his sanity.

But, since he organized it...

Gooey Decimal System, LMAO.
So much for the idea of the little old lady librarian who dressed down and kept to herself. My guess is that they all either showed up at the Hell Fire Club or Vapor.

BTW, I know peopel who went to high school with Ron Jeremy and said he was a pretty nice guy. Maybe it has been his sense of humor (and Viagra) that has kept him going in a time of nameless steriod freaks

Yah, a sense of humor (And a hunormous wang such as his) can go a long way. My ex went to high school with Lea Delaria ("I'm a biiiigggg dyke!") and can attest to how far humor can take you.

Still, RJ has met, if not banged, some of the high rollers of adult film/vid history.

I'll readily admit that I know no more about the porn industry other than "they make it, I buy it", but I had heard a rumor that RJ had some kind of clause in his contract stipulating that he got first dibs on newcomer girls.

Whether that's true, or whether that hairy hedgehog bastard even has a contract is beyond me. I'm just repeating what I had heard, which may very well be BS.

One thing I do know, is that he should thank his lucky stars daily for the amount of fresh poon he regularly gets. I cannot imagine him ever nailing 1/100th the number of women he's nailed if he weren't in porn.

TW ("The Wife") once said that as long as I had money I would never want for sex. Of course, she didn't take into account the fact that I rarely have money. :(

An inspirational story. He is the "King!" Are there reading rooms at the "MOS" in NYC?

Damn...and I thought keeping my compact disc collection in check was difficult. Kudos to him!

He has me thinking about rearranging my porn collection. :?
