"Pirates" is considered one of the costliest of all time. Budget was 1 million.

I thought 10,000 would be a big budget.

.

... wonder what the biggest budget price cost to make
a trannie porn was.

Pirates was OK. i don't see what was so extraordinary about it.
Didn't like the 2nd Dark Angels nearly as much as the first one
but could see why it would be expensive with all the special effects,
settings and creature makeup.

Most films have 3 scenes min - so thats 3333 a scene. Hell you think the girls work fo free? There are crew costs, processing costs, etc etc. I'm sure someone could give you figures but you couldn't make squat for 10,000 dollars unless everyone was woking for free and I dont think porn works that way.

That's not true. On 2 seperate occassions I shot 20+ scenes in a single day at a cost of about $15,000 a day. Of course that's just shooting cost, not including editing, but it was still less than $1,000 per scene all in, and lots of freelancers will shoot for $1,500 a scene (and less outside the US). But this isn't "hi end" by any means. I'm also assuming we're talking about hardcore here. I can bang out a DVD for solo girl stuff for peanuts.

Judging by what I see on Xtube,Yutuvu,etc...... I'd say about a quarter.

Any cat with a DV camera and a computer with movie editing software could probably film a scene. As stated, the money is in the equipment and the talent. Location might not be a problem; many just film in their houses.

For a quality flick, $100k sound about right to me.

Pirates was so expensive, they re-cut it and released it in "regular" theaters!

Will anyone ever make a big-budget T-girl movie (i.e. shot on film), complete with plot and such?

Thats a good idea willie. The only thing is all the ladies would become film stars and we'd have no-one to talk to. :(
