Hi Gia

Congrads on keep the steady routine. I know how hard it can be keeping up with all the hormones. I often forget to take something here and there. I have 2 transgender log books. 1 book to track my transition and see how things are going. and another book just for shit that I forget to take. They are both very thick books, as they go back to 5 years worth of data.

Anyhoo....Some effects of Estrogens on Male to Female Gurls include....Softening of the skin.....Dryer skin....Bigger boobs....Less hair, but not by much....intensified emotions...Crying all the time....lol Etc.

You say you have been on and off......Depending on what type of estrogen you have. Your body has to get use to it. To adapt to the estrogen and whatever else you use in your regimen. U r gunna need a little more than 3 months babygirl for your body to totally adjust to your meds. You must keep a dedicated mind to your meds. Be good to them and I assure you they will be good to you. Break outs are pretty common when using different estrogens...going on and off...and just your body's over all adaptation rate. I have been on Hormones for Years...I just switched to the shot a few months ago. And my acne is kicking my ass! I actually thought the stuff I was getting was Testostorone! But its just the body getting use to the new hormone. What you need baby is a good skin care routine.

Wash

Exfoliate

Tone

Moisturize

Just use these 4 easy steps twice a day.....And you should go back to pimple free skin. It hella works for me!

But you have to use a special soap with "SALICYLIC ACID" Its an orange looking soap. Nuetragena makes it and you can also buy the genric version from walmart or where ever you like to shop. Saly Acid is notorious for bustin pimples! Use this in your twice daily face routine and you will be runway ready no time!

Good luck!

Hi Gia - yes the hormones can cause acne.

Remember you are essentially going through puberty again.

Also PLEASE girl, do not cycle your hormones. It can sensitize your body and damage your development.

Hormones are NOT for experimenting ladies. Either go on them, or don't. I see Gia has a hormone person - this is important, you must monitor your blood levels - also your patassium levels if you take spiro.

I've been on spiro for 3 years and postassium levels keep creeping up. I'm facing either going off spiro soon or having SRS or an orchidectomy.

Your regieme sounds good.

I personally use injectable estradiol and spiro, mainly for cost and convenience.

Hugs,
TS Jamie :-)

Are you planning on entering the porn industry? 'Cause if not, this isn't always the best place to seek advice or support.

Not saying that there isn't ANY good advice here... but there are more focused and less biased places where you could ask these kinds of questions.

If your skin is breaking out, you should probably get your levels checked and see what exactly is going on.

And you need to be consistently in the proper hormone levels.

HRT should, if anything, make it harder for your skin to break out since it dries it out (this can also be a sign of your E levels being too high as well, that's been talked about in the diy hrt yahoo group in the past).

This is in general, obviously everyone is different and sometimes hair removal processes will cause your skin to break out (in some cases, harshly). I dunno if you're going through any hair removal processes, but that is something to consider if your levels end up being within good ranges.

I am also going to have to agree that hrt is and should be a "if you're on it, you're on it" thing. Randomly going off it, especially early into hrt is probably going to play havoc on your emotions and I could see the extreme switches in hormones between E and T causing your skin to break out as well.

... and of course, let's not overlook the adverse effects of NO hormones!
