about being able to enter, im pretty sure it depends on the place and factors like how big and scary you look, in addition to japanese comprehension. i think a lot of foreigners have the misconception that they are totally not welcome in japanese brothels.

I lived in Tokyo for a couple of years and went to one brothel near my apartment several times. The first time was the most difficult.
