Whats up gang,

Does anyone have, or be intrested in compiling some sort of list of Late(Psssed Away) T girls.

To maybe be used as a memorial sticky type thread or something.

It gets kinda hard getting to the know all these girls....only to find find out they are no longer around anymore :(

Feedback Welcome.

Good thread, THC, and an admirable idea.

There is a Day of Remembrance (Which I have naturally spaced. ) wherein LGBT people are memorialized (Many because of unfortunate/violent deaths such as Brandon Teena, Gwen Arujo, Matthew Sheppard, etc.). Though I don't think there is one specific to the TS/TG culture.

One of the saddest things I've learned in my time on TS forums is the "50/30 Rule" that sez that 50% of the gurls we see in the mainstream culture (I don't think it applies to the 'stealth' gurls, though it may) will pass before they reach the age of 30 (Primarily from, to put it in a polite turn of phrase, 'work related misfortune'). I'm glad to say that I know a couple that have broken this 'rule' (Or may just be part of the other 50%), but far too many prove it as well. If recent memory serves, that number would include Lisa Kage, J'Lo, and Camilla de Castro. :(

For my own contribution to this memorial list, two names come up from my sordid past and my first sightings of T-gurls in the sex industry: Morelle Dekeig (Sp?) and Julie Bond. Those memories go back some years (1980's?) and don't go beyond the adult entertainment industry (As I only came to know TS's personally in the late 80's and 90's and they would fall under the 'stealth' definition).

I guess the one that I felt the most was Susan Shah, because it seemed like her life was coming together with her movie, "Step Ahead." I guess a ~10 year battle with HIV lead to her depression and suicide. RIP

It makes me almost wanna cry.

All these young women for which whom had so much going for them in life. On top of their game. Now just gone.

Life is a bitch when it wants to be.

I've actually been working on a list/rememberence which will be called "Fallen Angels & Forgotten Devils" which will be for the models and photographers that have worked with us over the years. Only I keep procrastinating as I do a few and then get too sad about it.

It will be linked from Shemale Yum but it won't be in the members section - so probably link it from Grooby.com also.

Duda Little is fine by the way.

I've always wondered if the statistical life expectancy of a transsexual is significantly lower than the general population. Not sure if anyone has figured that out, or if there is even a way to figure it out.

Anyone know if harmone usage causes a higher rate of cancer or other deadly diseases/conditions?

Just a thought. Sorry to hijack the thread.

Lawanda was a good friend of mine. I remember when she first came to New Orleans and started working at Papa Joes on Bourbon Street where I used to work. We lived only a few doors down from each other. Her mother Tina was a wonderful lady as well. It was very sad when she passed away. I do have some great pictures of her and I together when she visited me in California. I've lost many of my sisters from New Orleans and I miss them all. They were all wonderful ladies and definitely helped shape who I am today.

Please ad Vanessa Facen, who was murdered in 2006 in San Diego while in Sherrif's custody. An hiv pos sex worker, she was arrested for a breaking and entering while stoned and became combative on the way to being put into Man jail so she was pacified.

The whole thing was mostly swept under the rug, and because she was a hiv pos, drug addicted whore, even most of the mainstream trans community didn't/doesn't give a shit. Her family filed a lawsuit which I believe was dismissed.

The problem with the Day of Remberance is it mostly only represents TG people who were murdered, not those who die by suicide or other cause.

Maybe we could start a web site for this. I would be willing to host it on our server if someone else did the html and maintenance work on a regular basis.

Hugs,
TS Jamie :-)

Kelly Michaels is probably the only TS from the classic 80's porn who is still alive.

Julie Bond was my fave, and she is gone. RIP.

Hormones and TS

Actually most of the cancers that are affected/can be traced to estrogen use, affect organs of the female gender reproductive tract, so there is not a real huge threat there. However many girls do suffer from other diseases such as liver and gall bladder problems that come from taking hormones without careful monitoring by a physical. International Crisis, IIRC died of liver disease.

What does happen however is that many trannies become infected with AIDS from hormone or silicone injections with unclean or shared needles. One reason to avoid at all costs any back room hormone shots. Or, at the least insists on clean needles from sealed package.

hmmm a bonafide "no answer question", but not quite the classic rethorical one...

A) no one will admit they do

B) most likely the high performance wanker will not know if his visual rubb-fodder is that of a still living person

C) the high performance wanker does not read this thread and so your question TBTS he will evade ....

Does anybody know if Angelique Ricard is still alive? She appeared in a film with Vanessa Del Rio in the mid 1980s.

Here's an interesting one. It was reported that she died in a hospital but some believe the report was fake due to legal problems. She was the 'Tania' whose feud with Sylvia Boots resulted in the death of Crystal on page one of this thread.
