Male profiles on Myspace

So I was on Myspace, on a number of
transrelated groups and forums.

One of the things that I noticed was that
many of the males had photos with their
profiles.

Whether that was them, is another story.

I know the whole faceless / headless
profile thing has been discussed,
before.

But why does HA have

and Myspace has faces?

I was just making my last rounds on cyber-patrol,
before turning in, but sure I'll hit you up. We can
discuss creative options on blurring your 'nether
regions', maybe a ficus tree. :lol:

But you would think that since HA was like a second
family, there would be more faces with the voices.
Myspace to me seems more anonymous, filled with
teens, and more fly by night.

Here at least we talk with many of the same people
day after day.

subject matter, I would concur that they aren't out and out pornographic.

And while your's is a great answer, I am still trying to discern if the
reason for the anonymity here is: the porn factor, the escort element,
the transgendered taint, or a combination of all of the afore-mentioned.

i think its a combination of all those. nevertheless i am inclined to say that for guys who participate in debates on here it seems they showed a face-pic sooner or later. so your statement of anonymity holds true for a segment of the male HA populace, namely the pic-hunters, not for those who are or were deeper involved in the t-realm in one way or the other.

(note: i dont have anything agaginst pic-hunting or getting off to porn, just for me personally that would be a little meagre diet for a messege-board.)

I'll try to scrounge around to see if I can find something I am really playing on. I've been able to get around town and see some really good piano players. Plus some come through our jam sessions. One came through Sunday. They say that he played the part of Art Tatum in a scene in the movie "Ray". He was fantastic. I'll have to watch the movie to see if it was him.

I had pics up on myspace, until some of my stalkers started reposting them to harass me. Now they are still there, but private. had to make my whole profile private, actually, which sucks and sort of defeats that whole purpose of it.

Certainly most guys on here are kinda on the DL and hiding from friends, girlfriends,wives etc... HA is an outlet where they can let their alter ego run free!! Also, many guys criticize girls so much that they would never open themselves up for any kind of scrutiny.
I personally don't have pics anywhere on the net, legitimately. Some folks have some, and some are very incriminating, but those were sent privately, when I was into chatting back in the day. I don't really take alot of pics of myself, just not into it. If I thought someone needed my pic, I'd take one and send it to that person, But I'll never have a pic for just anyone to take and do with what they will!

Another thing to keep in mind is that you can set an option in myspace to not display the groups you are a member of in your profile. Therefore, the only way someone could discover your membership in a group is to visit the group themselves. (In that case when they ask what you're doing there, you can ask what they were doing there!)
