would be nice if it says what happened to the ppl ... one woman charged 2x in the sting.. apparently not much if she went right back to business as usual... also would like to know if those were all outcalls when the girls were caught and incalls when the guys were caught.

Chicago is one fucked up town. Craigslist is one fucked up website. (Apologies to anyone who lives there or advertises there...)

While I can accept prosecution of street action because it is in the face of people who may not be so inclined, and because it does often bring in drugs, pimps and exploitation I think it's horrible for police to harrass adults arranging contacts in private online and engaging in private activities in private.

But by golly they busted 200 GIRLS. I wonder how many they beat up in the process.

I wonder how many cars were stolen in Chicago over the 4 months they prosecuted prostitution. I wonder how many people were murdered, robbed at gunpoint, raped, etc.

PS - I also think it's wrong for them to publish girls photos on the interent where anyone in the world can see them, for what is likely a minor misdemeanor there, or anywhere. To me that is cruel and unusual punishment.

STONE PARK, Ill. -- Lawyers representing 12 men claim Stone Park police trapped their clients in bogus prostitution stings and said they have the tape to prove it.

The dozen men and their lawyers argued in what has become a class-action lawsuit against the police department that prostitution stings forced innocent men to pay exorbitant fines and towing fees.

To top it off the Police chief in a suburb near there was indicted for racketerring. Using villiage empoyees to staff a private security company.

That's business in Chicagoland.

Charged with misdemeanors if no other activity accept solicitation per news reports last night.

Generally, only the male faces are published. But in the past some MTF have been on the site because the police still consider TS's guys.

They also mention in one news clip that this was part of a nationwide effort by police departments to target Craigslist activity.
