How Have You Been Spending Your Summer?

Most of my summer seems to be moving! I am now moved into my house and it took me a few days to get the yard cleaned up to put mulch and rock in. I will be starting on the inside this week. Painting and resanding the hardwood floor and restaining it. Lordy it's going to take me forever, but it will look nice. On top of that I've been working full time for my friends business. I have been away due to that and I also just now got the internet hooked up! I hope I get to do more with my summer in the next few weeks!!! So lets hear about yours? Hopefully it's more exciting than my own!

No summer for me. I´m having a well paid summer job right now, so I´m planning to travel to Cuba in september. Spending summer in Vienna is kinda boring.

Most of my summer has been spent trying to keep our house from imploding. So many things are breaking all over the place. Then there is my garden which, thanks to god, will yield a non trivial ammount of food.

The only somewhat exciting thing I did this summer was travel to NY, NY for the first time ever. It was ok felt like Chicago in many ways. Food wasn't quite as good in general. Then on the way back I got to stop at a campus of Univ of Penn. and get a feel for the area. Far too many people wearing camoflage, a very survivalist/millitia feel to the place. Don't think I will be going there. To top it all off we arrived back in IL in time to see all the legal and illegal fireworks displays going off all over the city as we drove home. That is what I will remember from this summer. That and the Cicada's.

Our summer - Jessica has been visiting family for two weeks while I stayed behind to have sex with hot guys!

So you're doing all that yard work and refinishing yourself? Way to go! I've been doing some of the same, some of it myself and some of it I'm paying a friend who's a general contractor to do (fix our sump pumps, dig a trench and dry well, do some landscaping). Finally finished our bathroom remodling with the finishing touch, a nice glass shelf over the sink. Kitchen was redone four years ago, front porch added two years ago, widened the driveway and put in a paving stone walk last year. Stuff only a homeowner can appreciate (and love ... or hate...).

Otherwise I've been working, working, working. Launched my new website in June (piladyboy) and trying to improve it all the time. Also a dozen other jobs from various clients, keeping me in front of the computer way too much (bought new studio lights at the beginning of the month and haven't even done a shoot with them yet, lol).

I did get to NYC to visit my best Thai friend and a couple of cousins, as well as take in Jennifer Paris' hosting Allanah's monthly party and meet a couple of dear friends there (Sami and Leora, whoohoo!). And I got to spend a weekend in Maine with two sisters and my mom, which was nice. That's about it so far.

After finishing another semester of film school, I took a job with a production company making a feature film here in Arizona. This lasted over a month. Afterwards, I flew east to visit my family, then went to a high school reunion.
