View Full Version : Herpes. 20% of the population has this?

After googling countless times, it seems that all of the links i can find about herpes conclude that around 20% of humans carry the virus that produces herpes. However, only 5% of the general population has active, flamin herpes. I assume that it's dormant in the other 15%....

Is this true? If so, you'd think that the majority of sex workers would be carriers. I'm not trying to scare any readers away from frequenting their favorite tranny treasure trove.

Are there any famous transexuals who are open about having this disease, as it would be a career-killer?

Do the guys here use any infected escorts, but use a condom to protect themselves?

I think im gonna use an escort for the first time here in the next day or so, but youd think that after barebacking just a few rednecks, fellating, that said escort would be infected?

Yeah 20% sounds about right... scary, ain't it? It maintains a latent infection within nervous system sensory cells by incorporating its DNA. Current medicine is unable to eradicate this. But, on the bright side, the first infection is usually the worst, and following recurrences are more and more mild (and they can be lessened with valtrex).

The greatest risk of transmission is when you see active lesions present; these look like little blisters on a base of red skin; ulcers may also be present. If you see anything like this stay away.

There's also something called asymptomatic shedding. Basically the viral particles are released even without the skin lesions. So you can still get it from a person who does not have any lesions on their skin... scary, huh. This is less likely if the infected person is taking valtrex chronically.

Condoms and wise choice of partners helps.

20% sounds WAAAAAAAY under the actual percentage... unless its solely based on genital herpes then i guess MAYBE could be right but i would still think more

same with genital warts. some people dont even know they carry them around. in fact ive seen them even in mags like Hustler. sylvia boots had them on her dick, for instance.

and using condoms wont keep herpes away. a simple kiss can cause an infection.

so, do you guys think it's safe to assume that most every girl who escorts is a carrier?

I would ammend that to say: "...it's safe to assume that everyone who plays may be a carrier?"

Will all criminals not currently under indictment or investigation please step forward.

Yah, we all hope for this kind of responsibility/honesty, but that's not how the world works.

Back in the 70's there was a saying that went,"Herpes,it's on all the lips in town."

Yea I also remember this in the 70s:

Q: What's the difference between herpes and love?
A: herpes is for life

I'm thinking about trying a ts for the first time,

but considering the amount of traffic a lot of these popular girls get, im getting the vibe that herpes is to be expected.

I wonder what % of encounters would result in transmission. I just dont think its worth the risk. Does anyone know how much it hurts? or the cost of valtrex(because you are a pharmacist)?

Shame that a large portion of girls have to get more surgeries to become become beautiful, most of them escorting in order to pay for it. I cant see how they wouldnt get herpes in the process. Why cant more of you TSs be more naturally gg-esque ;)

Thanks for all the useful information in this thread. I'm quite uninformed about this disease, so thanks for dispelling the stigma. Please lemme know more so I dont have to wrap my face in saran wrap before kissing someone.

Just the word..herpes...scares my lil dick back into its cave. I think i would require a full medical workup and a polygraph if i ever went with a pro...and even then i'd still have the worry on my mind.

Hell, both of you probably have been exposed to it and don't know it?

Many gg's don't recognize the symptoms for what they are. With a TS her parts are out there where she can see 'em and know what's going on.

20% is actually on the conservative side. It's probably 5-10% higher.
