Just the same you shouldn't have to be of that demographic to view that the action involved in that example was wrong and should not have happened.

I can't accept any argument which excuses witnesses that did nothing in prewar (WW2) lynchings as not being responsible or of significance because they couldn't possibly have known it was incorrect based on their lack of certain demographic statuses.

I don’t think there is actually any racism on this board and I don’t think the fire bombing of a synagogue is racism either. My understanding of racism is that it is just a belief that race determines other traits and then there is systematic racism which applies to organizations.

For example caucasian teenagers use illicit drugs at higher rates than black or latin teenagers but black and latin teens are arrested, charged and prosecuted as adults with greater frequency. That’s racism; it’s targeting some groups for harsher penalties while insulating other groups from those penalties.

A few people on this board may be bigots but they should be able to express their bigotry freely. I would even defend their right be open about their bigotry. I dont think this board is "racist" in any way,however I do think that black america is way more prone to scream "RACISM" then any other ethnicity.

I didn't see it as a rude question. He used the word many times and I wanted to know why. I didn't even realize there was an official ER and AH, one of which was OK.

Vicki, Nothing is wrong with you asking your friend the difference. You're probably not the first person to ask your friend about the use of the "n" words. Any black male who uses the word around his white friends or associates will get questioned about it. Personally i do my best to not use "nigga" knowing that 1)It was and still is derived from an derogatory term, and no matter how I try to change it, the word stil carries meaning and 2)Its not a word I want to be called. Not by a black man. Not by a white man. Noy by anyone. Educated or intelligent? Personally I have always liked alot of the "hot jazz" of the pre1930 era, alot of those artists were unable to go through formal education due to the times but were IMO, exceedingly intelligent just the same.

I wouldn't dismiss an entire genre as being filled with uneducated performers... but I will be honest I know almost nothing about gangsta rap because its not my thing.
