"United Arts Foundation, the organization with whom we are
associated, and who is providing the new downtown venue, is a non-
profit 501(c) organization. Syren! @ The Loft is being done by
invitation, because we need to do this keep this event private and
not open to the general public, per the requirements of the United
Arts Foundation and its non-profit status. This also is necessary to
comply with certain legalities -- making it a private, invitation
only event allows us to have a private bar staff, and also allows us
to serve alcohol beyond 2am, and also to go after hours."
Basically, we will have to see how the initial night goes to
determine if the "afterhours" scheduling will work out.
