-music- anything really from the Doors, Creedence Clearwater Revival and the Who to The Crystal Method and the Prodigy
-lasagne
-lying down on the grass in an open field
-roasting marshmallows on campfires

-cheetos
-Belgian beer
-MTV mash
-being with friends
-finishing a job well done
-Barcelona

-the food you can eat in Brussels
-did someone say cheesake?
-come to think of it anything with cheese
-trying out new things, new places, new foods
-onion rings
-milkshakes

How can I forget Bachata? Dancing bachata when you got a cute ass morenita is one of the best feelings!

Ive never had a pats, but the Cheesesteak on the Eastcoast is WAAAYYY better than here in NY and what Ive ever had in Chicago. When I went to Philly I was eating cheesesteak everyday!

Ever try real chicago deep dish? LOL, I get into food wars about who has the best pizza and hot dogs all the times with my friends from NY

Here are mine:

Danceable stuff:
The Prodigy (anything, especially Fat of the Land, but not their latest- it's pretty sucky)
The Crystal Method (anything, particularly Vegas)
The Chemical Brothers (especially Singles 93-03)
Fat Boy Slim (any of the Brighton beach stuff or You've come a long way baby Avoid his latest Palookaville)
Junkie XL (Big Sound of the Drag)
Moby (Play)

Pop and rock:
Train (My Private Nation)
Counting Crows (August and Everything After)
All Saints (All Hits)
Texas (Greatest Hits)
Maroon 5 (Songs about Jane)
Oasis (Definitely Maybe of course)
Blur (The Best of Blur)

Older stuff:
Jimi Hendrix (Electric Ladyland)
The Doors (LA Woman, Waiting for the Sun or Morrison Hotel)
The Rolling Stones (Forty Licks)
Bob Dylan (any of the 60s and early 70s stuff if you like folk rock but Blood on the Tracks if you just love great music)
The Velvet Underground (buy a compilation to try them out first)

Jazz and funk:
Soel (Memento)
Herbie Hancock (Headhunters, Return of the Head Hunters)
Ronny Jordan (especially Off The Record)

Also, you can rarely fail with the Beatles, Elvis or Ray Charles, but I wouldn't put any of their stuff in my favourites.

Ecstatic, As far as music goes... I'm quite the live shows collector, lol. I did a count of how many recordings I have a couple weeks ago. I own more than 1500 CDs of live music and about 300 studio CDs. So much music, so little time. Recommendations are always open.
We could probably talk for hours about music, Angela! I haven't actually counted my cd's in a long time and have recently acquired a number of live and boot cd's so the tally could well be higher. There's very little music I don't enjoy. My least favorite genres are probably opera, rap, hiphop, and country/western, but in each case there are exceptions to the rule which I like quite a bit.

rock on!

Angela,

Thanks for the show. I have it downloaded but not loaded into my Ipod. I will check it out. If you like Pearl Jam you might be interested in Neil Finn. Eddie lists him as a big influence in terms of songwriting. In fact, Neil did a series of concerts a few years ago and invited Eddie and some other musicians down to New Zealand. They put on some great shows and released an incredible DVD entitled 7 Worlds Collide. The DVD is a must have for any music collector. In fact, I caught Neil in concert a couple of years ago and he was amazing. Just a really cool athmosphere and great music.

As for the Hitchhiker's Guide...

How could I not sass that HG2G was coming out? The casting is beautiful (Sam Rockwell as Zaphod [brilliant] and Mos Def (~~~~~~) and my idol Ford Prefect) and the previews look great. I am counting down the days.

You are one frood who knows where her towel is.

I leave you with a quote:

"Ford had his own code of ethics. It wasn't much of one, but it was his and he stuck by it, more or less. One rule he made was never to buy his own drinks. He wasn't sure if that counted as an ethic, but you have to go with what you've got. "

Reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld's Ginsu knife schtick:

TV has so much power. I know it does. Because I bought the Ginsu knife. I did. The Ginsu 2000, actually. I can't believe I did it.

I can't believe I wrote the number down.

I can't believe I called it.

I can't believe I gave them my credit card number.

It was late at night, I was watching the commercial and it started making sense to me. The guy cuts through the can, cuts through the shoe. I'm thinking, 'That looks pretty good.'

I don't think I can cut through a shoe with any of my knives. What if I get a knot in the laces and I can't get out of my shoe? How am I going to get out? I'll have to cut my way out. I need that knife.

So I called up and incredible as it may seem, I actually spoke these words. I said, 'I would like to order the Ginsu knife.' Yes, I said it. And the lady on the phone just went, 'Really?' Even the Ginsu people can't believe anybody would actually want this thing.

So now I have it, my shoes are all cut in half and I don't watch TV late at night anymore.

Angela I saw Prince last summer in Hartford. Were you one of the hotties he pulled out of the audience to come up and dance??? I also went to the steak house across from the Civic Center (blanking on the name) before the show - ate in the bar.

I too collect live music - have about 3000 live cd's and 2000 cassettes and there is some incredible John Cale music out there. I also have the 3 opening nights of Musicology from Minneapolis as well as the 3 after party shows at Paisley Park, with other shows stretching back as far as when he was the opening act for Rick James.
