Hell the gay scene where I live is so goddamn underground it may as well be a spelunking enthusiasts need only apply sort of thing, let alone a TG scene.

It's not so bad if you like live music and OKish places to eat, but if you want to go out on the town for the purpose of picking up, your choices are the 18-20 y/o emo/goth bar, the mainsteam "rock" bar and the dozens of skanky drunk girls and jock ass wanker bars. Uch, no wonder I became such a geekass loser, general city-wide misanthropy tends to bring that out in me.

Thats more Canberra though. Sydney and Melbourne are totally different. Sydney has the whole Darlinghurst scene and Melbourne isn't bad either although more spread out.
