Has this been seen here yet?
After he helped the Taliban get into power in Rambo 3 you would have thought he'd be harder to find than Bin Laden.

Rambo is hardcore now. Cutting off heads...WTF. Welcome to 2007 I guess  It doesn't have a Rambo feel to it...you know what I mean? I'll watch this one on dvd or cable...lol

I made it through 10 seconds of that. The twist at the end should be that it was actually Bin Ladin who ordered the killing of Apollo Creed, using the Dolph Lungren guy as a soviet puppet.

In could kick off a cross series franchise of epic preportions.

Never really liked the Rambo films. I always thought they were jingoistic crap that oversimplified the real issues. So I don't know if I'm watching this one.

Never liked Rambo. But the guy below, he was a genius.

I was skeptical as hell when this new Rambo flick was announced.

After seeing the promo footage, this looks to be a badass flick. I mean, ripping a dude's throat out with his bare hands? Freaking sweet.

Only Sonny Chiba was doing it 30 yrs ago ... :-(

Props to Sonny Chiba. I'm not talking about his throat ripping and general ass kicking, but he was also in what use to be my favorite movie (although it was actually a 1960's Japanese serial). "Ogon Bat"/"Ogon Batto".

I have no idea what the damn thing is all about really, because I don't think it's ever been sub-titled or dubbed. I can't imagine anyone would actually put the effort into doing that, and it doesn't need it. It's so flipped out, I don't really care what the people are saying.

Here's one of the villians: A giant hand that emerges from the ocean to submerge freighter ships. . .by pouring water on them with an enormous laddle. Oh, and the hero has a skull head and flies around laughing maniacally for no apparent reason.

Ahh crap, I just Youtube'd it, and there's an Ogon Bat clip. The era of bootleg VHS tapes is dead.

Damn, and my still current favorite movie has Youtube clips too:

The second clip has nothing to do with Sonny Chiba, but it's from a nearly flawless movie. I guess Youtube really is pretty cool if ya start looking around a bit.

Never liked Rambo. But the guy below, he was a genius.

the author of the First Blood novel, David Morrell based the name of Rambo, at least in part, on Rimbaud. Just a little literary trivia for you all. Discuss amongst yourselves.

"Vagrancy wasn't it? That's gonna look real good on his grave stone in Arlington: Here lies John Rambo, winner of the Congressional Medal of Honor, survivor of countless incursions behind enemy lines. Killed for vagrancy in Jerkwater, USA."

Yeah, I heard that before Felicia. I think we could all benefit if we could have a little less of the violence of Rambo and a little more of the spirit and passion of Rimbaud in our lives, though.
