Let me say right off this is not intended as a gay bashing thread, but has to do with something I find disturbing -- the volume and frequency of gay porn sites that link to underage porn.

There are many different opinions and some pretty goofy posts on HA, but one thing I respect about this place is everyone is very aware that underage porn is just wrong and disgusting.

But I notice when I occasionally look at gay porn sites, probably about 75% of them have banners or teasers trying to get you to go to some site about teens or underage. I think that's disgusting, but what puzzles me is how common it is. If supply reflects demand, doesn't the fact that most gay porn sites link to underage porn mean that it's a common desire among gay men???? I won't look at gay porn anymore because I don't want any of that stuff, even the banners, on my computer in my temporary internet file folder

I know this sounds patronizing, but some of my very best, closest, dearest friends -- brothers almost -- have been gay men but I've never known them to express any interest in underage sex. Interestingly, though, several admitted to having been molested or just plain having had sex with older men when they were underage.

I know the fundies and right wingers are always saying that the gays are out to recruit or seduce your kids, and I never believed it, but the prevalence of this shit on gay porn sites is beginning to make me wonder.

It also makes me respect everyone on HA including the goof balls for not ever being into that shit.

Go to any porn search engine. Type in any "straight" category.Check the total of hits. Then do the same search and exclude the word "teen" and check the totals?

I don't know if "sicko" is exactly appropriate, but gay men certainly are an odd bunch. The regular gay customers who frequent our club during the day seem to be preoccupied with attempting to hook up with pretty much any other guy they encounter. I know this for a fact because there are some clowns who have literally made bizarre sexual innuendos towards me repeatedly for several years.

My favorite gay guys attempts at "pick up" lines: "Are you an actor?", "Do you work out? What gym do you go to?", "You do the sound systems here? Could I pay you to come over and set up my. . .uh. . .home stereo and cable system?", "Do you like pool halls?", the list is endless.

Just yesterday I was smoking a cigarette in the alley, and this guy appears out of nowhere asking me if I knew where any good adult "arcades" were. I put out my smoke, said "No", and slammed the kitchen door shut as I escaped back inside.

Strange group of people, but, what ya gonna do?

And a big "No" on ever checking out gay porn, either. Even seeing two men kiss still weirds me out (my problem, not theirs, I know).

Men are generally hounds. When men are chasing women,there is pretty good chance a straight up "do you wanna..." is going to get a "no" at best. When you're dealing with men chasing men,the odds are decent you're going to get "yes" if you ask more than a few guys? It's a different game.

That's a good point. There is a lot of straight "teen" porn, and I guess there is a double standard. I just never understood the whole lusting after underage people, whether transgendered, GGs or gays.

I guess I don't come across that because my taste in erotica is so specific that I rarely do general searches of any kind:

I've seen all forms of porn, some more grotesque than others, but not once have I come across a site blatantly advertising underage porn.

Now, I don't deliberately look at gay porn sites (doesn't do anything for me), but if the term "teen" has any similar meanings for gay/bi porn as it does for straight porn, then it means the actors are 18 or 19. That's all.

Ads/banners blatantly promoting child pornography would bring all manner of fire and brimstone from the authorities, not only to the site in question, but to the owners of the ad servers. To that end, I really doubt such ads exist.

Look - this has been debated to death. Right here. Gay guys are attracted to men. Straight men are attracted to women. TS appreciators are a third category, and it certainly can't be that we're all too repressed to just go for or look at guys.
