I love Gia, but truth to tell, I'm not overly impressed with the site redo. It's slice-and-dice Photoshop, slow loading even on fibre. I question the wisdom of jumping right into hardcore in the preview area. It's giadarling.com yet the copy says it's gialicious.com (gialicious.com serves the same content, at least at the tour level, so she has two domains pointing to the same webroot). Like rvince, I question switching from CCBill to Epoch. And I also don't like the sneaky bonus site you could end up signing up for if you're not paying attention:

OK, that all said, she's got some hot pics and a hot preview video, and she's looking as gorgeous as ever. Her blog has potential, and her personality shines through. Just some marketing decisions that I don't quite agree with.

Hmm, also a bummer that the only options she has are "auto-rebills", well except for the 3-day trial option.

I have a strict "no auto-rebill" policy when deciding what sites I'll sign up for. Keeps me out of some great content, but that move has never sat well with me, in fact, I think it's bad business.

It looks like she is on an OC3, so plenty of bandwidth. I see one slow link in the chain that seemed consistently slower than the others. It might be network congestion on that segment.

Looks to be as much page structure as weight: total document weight inc. dependencies is +800kb, which is big but not outrageous unless you're on dialup (on 56.6 it'll take about 2 minutes to download). Rather, it's the way the dozens of images are placed in tables and nudged into place with spacer gifs, so all that has to be rendered by the browser. I think the major slowdown is browser rendering, not actual connection time. My tracert showed a slight slowdown on a different pipe at pccwbtn.net, with a mark of 94 ms.
