I could have counted down the numbers up to this milestone, but I thought I'd keep it to myself.

Then again, I could have let it slide, like some others have done, but clearly, I like the praise.

I've been here for a while; I've made some friends, though never met anyone face to face yet, I've had some arguments, I've been insulted and insulted people back, I've laughed, I've cried, I've hurled. Mostly I've felt like hurling. But it's all good.

I've got on the case of some people who I felt deserved it, most of whom have shut up lately. I've avoided major confrontations, though, on the whole, becuase I'm a pacifist and because I really can't be bothered to get worked up about things.

I've learned a great deal, but like to think I've added a few drops to the font of knowledge, a few grains of sand to the mountain of useful information, a few useless similes and analogies to the encyclopedia of useless analogies.

I've had the pleasure of chatting online and exchanging PMs with some people. Some others, I've called assholes and jizzmoppers. Whatever I called you, it doesn't mean I don't like you....well maybe I just don't like you very much...

So this is post 2000, working at an average of around 2 a day, which is reasonable. I'm not planning to leave- I aim to stick around till I am grey and wrinkly, so you'll have to bear with me for many more years.

I thank you all for your attention and thank many of you for your friendship. I thank the mods for their work and the girls for making our lives interesting. And I'd like to thank the Academy, my parents...
