Before seeing the pics below, which of these two singers had faded the furthest from your mind?

I liked that first song Fiona came out with. I don't know who Samantha Mumba is though. So I have to go with Fiona.

Ahh... but the question was who faded the furthest from your mind? If you don't know who Samantha Mumba is, then you'd be going with Samantha, not Fiona. Not really a trick question, but perhaps a bit confusing..

Nope, I'm still going with Fiona. I can't even remember the lyrics to the first single she came out with that I liked.

Samantha Mumba, I would've at least remembered her because she's cute. I fired up itunes just to see if I've even heard her songs and they didn't ring a bell.

Can't fade from your mind if you never noticed.

BAH! I rethought that, and realized you're right, blast you! Next time, I'll be sure to include an option to address such a quandry.

I remember Samantha Mumba.

And you do hear the name Fiona apple
bandied about, from time to time.

For me they both are on the dust heaps
of history, with Samantha, slightly more
so.

You know, as I recall it, Samantha Mumba is Irish (nationality). That's the only reason I remember her at all... Don't know of any other black Irish.

And a quick Wikipedia check reveals...

By the way, who the hell still says "...not!".

It's not 1994 anymore.

When these two were last on the charts, I believe "Not!" was still a popular, though waning, expression. So, I used it here.

Samantha Mumba was also in that Time Machine movie.

But in all the previous polls, the people we were comparing were kind of similar... but Fiona Apple and Samantha Mumba... that's kind of like comparing apples and oranges...

Anyway, after some thought, I voted for Samantha.
