I was wondering, are there any "Shemales"( I cant think of any term that perfectly means the same) that do infact like and would like to keep their penis...I take it most are just in a phase before transisioning and having SRS as true transsexuals

I feel a little alone with my feelings, wanting a fully feminized body but keeping the penus

I dont know the data, but im pretty sure most tgirls dont have SRS. I would think its probably well under 25%.

Speaking from both my personal viewpoint and people
that I know at least half have no interest in getting srs/grs
ever. Not because of financial reasons but simply because
they don't feel that it's necessary. You can live fulltime and
totally stealth even (with some care) without srs/grs. I think
that more and more people are feeling that being transgendered
physically, is nothing to be ashamed of and it is a logical and
natural progression in human cultural evolution.

Then there is also the fact that many escorts know that they
would lose considerable earning potential if they had srs. For
most clients having a functional penis is pretty much THE draw. Otherwise they would be having sex with GGs.

Agreed. SRS for some would be a gain, for others it would be a loss of who they are.

Too bad the dutch health care thinks differently.....you have either the choice between taking SRS and going all the way or nothing, no treatment, no hormones at all

This sucks and I honestly admit I feel depressed by it

You posted this in another thread:

".well..here in Holland we have the choice between nothing or everything( SRS). Id like to keep my penis - and I really feel weird saying that- but be passable as a female. So my gendertherapist said I COULD go thru all these tests and things but come up with an excuse to withdraw before SRS. "

Sadly, I believe a lot of the medical and mental health community are a bit behind when it comes to policy...and you end up with the "nothing or all" result. Here in NYC, policy and law are just as behind as there.

Hmm, ok -.-

All I want to be is to be passable as a girl/woman and enjoy my penis aswell with a possible gf/bf :)

But like with so many things, too overly complex or not available to get

PS: That avatar you? Lookin good ;)

yep. That's me. Thank you for your compliment.

You can get what you desire...there are many paths to take and seems to me the women here would be great resource for you.

That's simply INSANE! Why does the dutch government dont give you a 3rd option (of helping out with tg transitioning through hormones but not having SRS)?

I think that the Dutch govt. thinks that if you are
truly profoundly suffering from gender dysphoria
then you would want, nay NEED to have srs/grs
to feel complete and correct in your gender. I'm
not about to argue that point. I just believe that
as in all things there are shades and nuances.
Since they have a social medical system it is their
perogative to set some kind of limits so that they
aren't paying for elective cosmetic surgery and are
only paying for those desperately in need.

In Ontario, Canada, where I'm from until recently
for you to get a prescription for hormones through
official channels you had to go through a very rigorous
interview process and even AFTER that you were
supposed to live one year, fulltime, employed in
your "gender of choice" before they would give you
that prescription. Then, after another 2 years minimum
of steady employment you would then be eligible for
srs/grs assuming that you passed further interviews
and the most ridiculous scrutiny. I was once chastised
in one of these interviews because I was not wearing
a skirt. This was November. I was wearing a pair
of dress slacks, but this was a black mark on my
record, luckily I wasn't actually in the program since
I had no interest in srs/grs.

The whole "can't be trans unless you have SRS" thing is silliness, mostly propagated by people in the medical and mental health fields with little or no clue about what it means to be trans.

I think however in this forum you see a particular segment of the trans community.

TS sex workers I suspect are less inclined to complete surgery for a variety of reasons. Some like having sex as a top, some can't afford it. Some like being an "exotic transsexual" and are afraid of being just another old woman afterwards. Others keep it for income reasons. Some like girls too. Some just don't care. Me, I haven't gone ahead for all of the last four reasons. But I will if you will buy our videos! Giggle.

TS's in the outside community are generally different from sex workers,
and I would say a larger percentage complete surgery and leave the TS community. These are what I call the TS "victim" crowd. "Oh look at me, I have this terrible afflliction and horrible weenie. If I don't cut it off I can't be happy."

Their social lives revolve aroung the gay and lesbian center, support groups and trans seminars. They usually transition later in life, have careers, own homes, etc. My experience is they are generally non-accepting of sex workers or anyone who doesn't share their viewpoints.

Case in point - a study was done here in San Diego awhile back. A study where it was "estimated, based on other studies" that between 30 and 70% of the trans community were sex workers. Yet out of 137 people interviewed ONE (1) was a sex worker.

Sorry to get off topic...
