I know I'm not a member of this board a long time, but don't you think that some avatars are just too big. I mean they are halfway the screen.

Yes! Some needs a TRIM! We need a RULE on sizing and pixel limits to make it uniformed through out the site. LOL ;)

Yours is too small tho..

Absofuckinglutely. Frankly thinking about it my av is to big. it should be set to accept avatars no bigger than 100x100 pxls and any url'd avs to be resized automatically.

130x130 is generally best and 400x100 for sigs.

go to ms paint and resize it by 75x75 if not small enough keep doing 75x75 to keep quality until u get the right size.

I'm afraid no one would follow this rule unless it was forced. Out of all the posters on this thread, only two have what would be deemed appropiate and one of the two doesn't even have an av.

hehe

Even though the stated size limit is 90x90, not too many seem to abide by that.

Myself, I feel that 200 pixels horizontal seems like a good limit, that is a good balance between picture quality vs not tying up too much of the left (non-text) side of the screen.

Here you go with the resized pictures...

Wendy, I agree that the most important size is the width of the av. Since it is what disturbs the message portion to the right. Height of the avs are most often irrelevant since the posts seem to run past them.

I figured out a while back that avatars up to 144 pixels wide will not affect the text portion. After that it starts moving over.

90 x90 way to small.

I think 200 x 200 should be the max.

in this pic. Black = 200 x 200

Dark Grey = 150 x 150

Light Grey = 100 X 100
