What in your journey through life is your greatest fear?

The best way I can sum up mine is by quoting a scene from a film - Four boys are sitting around a table discussing what they want to be when they're older.
'I want to be a teacher' says the first with a hint of nobility! The other chuckle. 'Teachers don't make any money....' says another. 'I want to be doctor' says the second.'Ah well doctors, they don't make much money either' 'Well' says the third 'I want to be a Barrister' They all nod their heads. 'Ah yes, now Barristers, they make money' Their fourth friend has been rather quiet, looking forlornly out the window upon the gardens where the most beautiful girl walks that he has ever seen. The other boys call to him 'Azanti, what do you want to be, when your older...???' Without turning he responds simply 'I never want to be alone.....'

That sums up mine.

That's easy: a return to the circumstances of my youth. Having a second stroke ranks up there too.

To wake up one day and realize it has all been a dream.

PS if you spot the film quote you win a cookie. (In the shape of the girl of the T-Girl as your choice)

Hey Azanti,

Is that a scene from Akeelah and the Bee?
Now, where is my cookie?

My friends tell me I know a lot about movies. That is, they think I know a lot of information about movies that nobody else gives a hoot about.

Second guess: Is it a scene from Young Shelock Holmes?

To wake up one day and find that every single person on earth was picked up by the mothership and I got left behind.

to die alone with no love ones to bury you because you out lived them all or never found the true love you always wanted!

my greatest fear is to wake up from this lucid dream

Probably to end up paralyzed from the neck down, or something debilitating like that. I'd rather just die than live that way personally.

What if the powers that be just totally gave up on the whole concept of extreme nacho cheese the next time they were planning their next marketing move?

Young Sherlock Holmes is indeed the correct film, but sorry I got hungry and ate the cookie in the meantime.

I digress. There are some interesting answers there.
