Just so you know this is pointless, online petitions are legally invalid.

Techincally speaking, any petition is invalid in the sense that they're not legally binding. The idea is to demonstrate that a huge number of people are on your side. Think about the 'Save PBS' petition that had something like a million votes. It didn't mean anything in itself, but it looked pretty damn cool when Big Bird showed up on Capitol Hill with reams and reams of paper. The bill was quietly killed off after that show.
