View Full Version : My House

In my comings and goings in life, I talk to a lot of people about a lot of
things.

In particular, on the Internet and in the real world, I talk to a lot of
transwomen about a variety of matters. Often-times the ones that are
just starting out will ask me about hormone therapy. What’s the most
effective regimen of HRT, how long will it take before they are able to
see results.

Other women will ask me about pumping. Is it safe to have silicon
injected into various body parts. They ask me if I know of any reputable
people that could do that type of work for them, and what would be the
costs.

Then there are other transwomen, that want to know about cosmetic
surgery. They want to know about FFS, breast augmentation and in
general how to have a hot body. Most want to get a pretty face, a phat
ass, and bodacious ta-tas..

They put a lot of time, money and effort into the exterior of their houses,
but often time do little to no work on the interior of their houses.

People that know me, both online and in the real world tend to think I’m a
pretty decent person, and I am. Mistakenly they may think that I don’t
have problems, that I don’t get angry, afraid, or the rest of the gamut of
human emotions, trust me I do.

What allows insults to roll off of me, like water off of a ducks back. What
allows me to get back up after the many times that I have been knocked
down.

The answer is simple in it’s complexity.

I built a strong house.

I have built a house that will withstand most storms, and the huffing and
puffing of life and other people for the most part doesn’t phase my house.

When I was transitioning, I wanted the cute face, the big butt, and breasts
just like any other girl. But I realized that was only the outside of the
house, and that with the ravages of time and the elements, that the
external façade would tarnish.

Thus I worked on the interior as well. I did and continue to do therapy to
work on the demons that possessed my house. I furthered my education,
garnering marketable skills, and in the process learnt more about myself,
the world and others. I surrounded myself with people whose friendship
and advice I could trust, because they had my best interests at heart.

And last but certainty not least, I embraced a God of my understanding
who has helped me weather many a storm, and without whom I would not
be a fraction of the person that I am.

So while you’re working on the house of yours, that body beautiful, try
not to neglect your emotional, intellectual, spiritual house, for that is the
house that will stand long after your physical house has fallen into
disrepair.

Did you read about Stephen Hawking's trip into zero gravity?
To me, he is one of the ultimate examples of someone who runs a cool house, even with a body that's mostly a prison.

No doubt. He's amazing. I remember reading a lengthy article that tracked the progress of his disease and what he had to go through. Talk about heart-breaking.

Wise words for everyone, Peggy. But they are particularly needed in the T community. There is so much emphasis on looks, with people feeling that they are better than someone because of looks. In another post someone wrote about Tgirls being involved in criminal activities. This an example of a short term gain, which does nothing help the interior of the house (person).
