I would say Kelly posting the fake pics - for whatever reason - were a big misake. If nothing else, it would certainly upset the real person if they ever found out that someone else was using their pictures as passing their pictures of as themselves.

Kelly also did make the mistake of accusing Vicki of being that other poster, but Vicki roasted Kelly over the coals pretty good for that.

After reflecting here is my (limited) understanding. someone insulted Kelly. Kelly then accused the person of being put up to it by Vicki. This broke the truce between them. Vicki then revived the controversy of Kelly posting fake pictures on other sites as well as here. Also some very unflattering pics of Kelly have been posted, so people accused her of not being trans(?). Basically her creditibility has been called into question. The anti-Kelly contingent is on the rise at HA.

I assume you are referring to Amplitude Modulation in the 540 - 1610 KHz band?

I used to build receivers and transmitters in my teen and early twenties, Later I got some used Heathkit tube gear. That was fun. Watch the final (a 6DQ6 or and 813 or whatever) current on the meter and adjust the Tune and Load knobs several times each to match the high impedance tube output to the Antenna... Those were fun days...

It seems a number of the older TSs seem to have an Amateur Radio background. Guess it comes from being curious and scientific minded at an early age rather than more of the typical rough and tumble sort of young person...

That's the truth about older TS's and ham radio. I was selling some junk with a friend at a hamfest who was considering transition. Two middle-aged TS's showed up at the table out of the blue and invited my friend to join their support group. They'd spotted us through the crowd and came over to talk.

I see another TS and her boyfriend regularly at the larger regional hamfests. I bought an old Drake reciever from them once. Nice folks.

There are number of former and current radio DJ's I know of that are TS/TG. The friend I mentioned above was a station engineer and a damned good one.

If you grew up from the 20's to the 70's,radio was a hobby where the technically inclined smart kids gravitated. Drew the same type of kids computers and software does now.

Ultimately you can only control your own reactions to a situation, and the main thing here is to keep it in perspective.
