I dunno.... I kinda thought there was a severe lack of these lately.

Personally, I don't say much, but have enjoyed finding this board and reading many of the conversations. I've never done porn or escorted, but I find many of the women here to have more of the same thoughts and concerns about living the way we do as I do than on all the other "politically correct" boards I've ever seen. It's nice to read the thoughts of *real* people, laugh at their jokes, consider their insights, etc.

Butttttttt... it's become so incredibly superficial and banal these past couple of months. I think "why" is pretty clear. Soooo.. could we just ignore it when it posts for a while and maybe it'll just go away.......?

Ooooo.... prob'ly not

I noticed the word "Thread" got cut off of my subject line, but I hoped my intent got through. Maybe if I'd made a subject of "Nematodes are Cute!" or "Blue Peaches!!" I'd have tapped better into the current Zeitgeist. Oh well.

I guess as largely a non-contributor I can't really complain much, but the forum used to be a lot more fun.... :(

Zeitgeist, one of my favorite words from the German;

zeit - time

geist - spirit

Zeitgeist - spirit of the times

By the by, you can still edit your thread title if you desire.

spirit of the time would be Zeitengeist.

:)

Thanks for the correction, would it still be correct to use zeitgeist as,
though the literal translation isn't 100% correct?;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeitgeist

Zeitgeist (help·info) is originally a German expression that means "the
spirit (Geist) of the time (Zeit)". It denotes the intellectual and cultural
climate of an era. The German pronunciation of the word is
[ˈtsa͡ɪtga͡ɪst] (IPA).

No, Zeitgeist is the correct term. Zeitgeist means spirit of the time, you wrote "times" in your previous post. Spirit of the times would be Zeitengeist. I made a mistake in my "correction"-post, forgot the S..... sorry.

Itīs a wonderful word and Iīm glad somebody likes this "over there" :wink:
