Yes. Tula. Caroline Cossey. Born Barry Cossey in Norfolk, UK. Transitioned at about the age of 16. Worked as a model/dancer, spent time in Paris.

Fought a legal battle in the 1990's for transsexuals to have female birth certificates. Oh, and appeared in a bond movie on the side of a gangster's swimming pool. Also on the front cover of Playboy in the 1990's too.

She has a book too. Can't remember the name but read it while shitting myself in the university library hiding in the corner.
