can't stand it. I mean I love the coffee but it makes me have to run to the bathroom about an hour later. I have to stay away from the Caramel Macciato's.

Green Tea Creme, which would be a frappuccino
except minus the espresso. Hold the whipped cream.

Ok, finally I can vent somewhere about Starbucks. I know they are a big corporation and some people didnt like them for that, and thats understandable. But they used to make a great shot of espresso to drink straight up or in a cappucino, and I would go there often for that. Now they have gone with a automatic machine at every single Starbucks (I wonder what happened to all those real espresso machines) Now their espresso is watered down and tasteless. In the rest of the modern world and even third world you can get a nice shot of espresso, but it is so difficult here in America (Except maybe Seattle or NYC). Anyways, I cant even bring myself to enter a Starbucks now. I wonder if the original Starbucks cafe in Seattle actually makes this automatic awful espresso, I wouldnt think anyone in Seattle would go there with places like Caffe D'arte just down the street...

Sign on the green tea frappe with whipped cream.

And the caramel hot-choc with with whipped cream

Or the caramel frap, with whipped cream.

On the subject of whipped cream,

Cosign on that. No sugar, no cream, just coffee. Maybe some tacos on the side.

Here in New Zealand, my one and only experience of Starbucks was:

- cost twice as much as regular coffee houses
- the staff didn't bring it to the table even though the place was pretty much empty of customers (hmmm... wonder why)
- the seats were dirty and stained
- plastic teaspoons FFS

When they opened their outlet in our town they said they would be "raising the bar" for coffee houses. Not likely.

White chocolate Mocha. No whip and only one squirt (cut a bit of the fat out.....save most of the taste)

Here in Barcelona there are two or three Starbucks places, which are big with the expat/tourist crowd as well as with the local "oh-how-cool" crowd. Personally I never go there because a) I don't get along with the local fashion brigade (we call 'em "pijos" here) and b) because I like a plain simple espresso - or "café solo" as it's called here - or, if I'm in need of something more hardcore, a "carajillo", which is an espresso in a small glass with a shot of alcohol in it (my favourite is "carajillo de Baileys")

I don't get it. Why would anyone pay $5 for a cup of coffee anyway?

I do love the caramel machiattos. But for good old regular coffee, I go to dunkin donuts. As far as it being gross, hell no. I need that shit to survive my workweek. What is gross is people who don't at least chew gum, take a mint, brush their teeth, etc. after having a cup. That stuff will seriously stain your teeth.

Their coffee definitely sucks. The father of a friend once went mad, so they had to let him make the coffee himself.
