Hmm kinda tough, seeing as how Al davis is loosing his mind, but if they have a sane thought for those few minutes when the commish puts em on the clock, they'll take J. Russel. Taking C. Johnson isnt a Horrible choice as he's got great skills, but they dont have any one to throw the platoon of receivers they already have, so unless they make a trade to get someone, of they go for Drew bledsoe :P my money is on Russel. It would be funnier if Detroit had the #1 though

adrian peterson at #4, i just dont see that...hard to believe, seeing as last year he would have been 2 or 3
and i know this sounds like sour grapes, but i really do think jamarcus russel is overrated, even with how he spanked ND in the sugar bowl-just think he is projected too high

tru he may be ranked to high, but its a sellers market when it comes to qb's this year. after Quinn and russel, their arent too many high quality first day, rady for the lions den of staarting QBs in this draft. More teams need a Qb then there are in the market. if this crop was last years draft, calvin johnson would be be #1 easy.

I saw GTech play several times this year. Johnson is big, fast and runs good routes. Georgia Tech wouldn't have sniffed a winning record w/o him. With his size he should be strong enough catch the ball in the middle of the field and withstand the hits.

I agree about Al Davis being crazy to take him. He's had Randy Moss and Jerry Porter on the same field and no one to get the ball to them. The Raiders need a QB.

Petersen has taken a pounding the past two years at Oklahoma w/ a so-so offensive line. I've got to wonder how much he's got left?

I've never been that impressed with Quinn, but he and Russell seem to be the best out there?(I like Russell.)

I see Okoye mentioned up the page. He's an interesting player, just 19 very quick and fast, but he's not that tall and had trouble handling the run in college. I don't know if he can play DE/DT in the NFL where he's going to have to deal w/ much bigger and quicker OT's than he saw in college?

With his quickness a team w/ patience could bulk him up into a good NG in couple of years,IMO. Otherwise I think he's destined to be a pass rush specialist and that might be tough?

okoye is pure upside at 19/20, hes go this best years ahead of him. at his size he can play both DT/DE and even OLB in a 3-4 scheme, which any coach will wet himself over. as with dealing with the run, Very few id any 1 round Dl are great vs the run when drafted, mainl because college blocking schemes is WAY different the pro blocking schemes and with better player to execute them. A DT job goes from getting 2 yards deep in the back field and occupying a gap to just not getting blown out so the LB can do his job. Okoye will do well if hes draft into a 3-4 as they will use his versatilty like terrel suggs of the ravens or demarcus ware of the cowboys.
