Clearly there are many flaws in both those pics I'd like to have fixed the pimple on my chin in my avatar

The little smudges around my eyes that could be cleaned up

and many other things

These are raw what you see is what you get...I am not ashamed of showing my flaws I'm doing it now in pics and I've done it on video.

I think you should just get a more competent photographer, most of your complaints could be fixed through better lighting and resolution. They could end up a lot more appealing and natural without the artifical look that comes with photoshopping and airbrushing.

Well what happen during the shoot is the light he brought the light fixture went out on it, and he thought he had a back up. But he didn't, he traveled from Milwaukee. I like a lot of the pics that he has taken, but he had to take them with the flash of his camera and bad lighting. I still think he did a pretty good job.

Sorry, Kelly, but if you could dance at one time, I'm afraid you will now be put out to pasture as far as dance floors go, let alone your ability to match footwear. By the way, Dancing With The Stars has you set up to dance with Norm Abrams.

It's not the res, it's the lighting and the focal length, not to mention the background confusion. It's a real shame the photog suffered equipment failure, but I would have to say, and I do have some experience here, that pros always carry back-up.

You can knock yourselves out with that and try to create modelling and kill the hotspots but in the end the better solution is the simple one: reshoot.

Kelly, since you're just doing clothed glamour, isn't there a good pro in your town? Most GP photogs enjoy doing something a bit different from the run of babies and weddings, it needn't cost the earth.

My problem with the photo is not the that the model (you) need to be glammed up but the setting (background, props, etc) need to be done better.

I wouldn't go for a straight fake studio shot, but I'd rearrange the room a bit to get better angles and make it look less cluttered. Even with simple table lamps you can get decent lighting if you arrange everything right. That being said, in order to "have a go" at fixing this picture, it'd be helpful to have a higher-res image to start with. Any chance you can email me a bigger pic?

Ask the fotog if you can get a copy of the original files so you can get them worked on. You either have to get the original hi res file (if this guy did capture in high resolution) and have a GOOD retoucher do the work or
