Yeah, well, the name is a deliberate misnomer designed to lure the unwary. If it doesn't want to be compared to other "shemale sites" it should call itself CDpassion or TVpassion or meninfrockspassion.

The photography is amongst the worst I've seen even for a porn site and woo is that saying something.

Sarah, you're absolutely right. Unfortunately within the ranks of gay men there are some who espouse a nasty kind of puritanism.

Transwomen and the men who are interested in them are absolutely hated by this sector of the gay male community--we have on record Alannah (sp) Starr being refused entry to a gay club and it is a common observation amongst transwomen that gay male activists support them when there is a political end to be gained but at other times shun them. Some gays are supportive of transwomen, perhaps even most, but some are not, and these are the ones which the Dork represents.

At the core of this vicious, divisive sexual fascism is a deep-rooted hatred of all women, but especially trans-women. In fact these people are so condemnatory of transwomen, always insisting that they are in fact just men in drag and always, always, denying their gender as females, that I think we can safely call them trans-misogynists.

It's a personal observation, but I have noticed that most straight men are a little uncomfortable about the idea of trans-gender, but not actively hostile, at least if you talk to them alone outside of peer-group pressure.

However the ones who scream the loudest that transwomen are men and always will be men IMHO are usually gays in denial or at least concerned about their own sexuality. When these men come out as gays they keep these attitudes. (As an aside I think they are also the most dangerous group and transwomen should avoid them.)

They cannot conceive of the idea of a person so believing herself to be a woman that she is a woman irrespective of her chromosomes, because they so hate the idea of femininity. Everything female is repulsive to them and they simply cannot comprehend someone wanting to be that which they abhor. Even when they are demonstrating a "straight" sexuality they routinely reduce women to sex objects and habitually demean them.

Of course, many of these men are very attracted to fem gays and CD's, TV's etc because of the sexual charge that comes from having a person who appears to be a woman yet who can by undressing transform into another man. It's a form of narcissism--men like the Dork are so in love with themselves they want women to turn into them, or be a mirror of them. At the same time the gay trans-misogynists hate the men who are attracted to trans-women because they think we should be attracted to men like them, and hope to persuade us by telling us we are what we're not.

Now I am not so naive as to think the Dork is alone on this board, but he is much more stupid than most, and has jumped in with two feet and revealed himself for what he is-- a gay male trans-misogynist. His hatred of women and all things womanly is manifest in his absolute denial of the female gender of transwomen and his insistence that men who are interested in women must somehow be gay--like him.

I personally think that transwomen have enough to deal with without people like the Dork trying to find yet another way to deny their gender; it seems paradoxical indeed that on one hand transwomen are shunned by mainstream society and on the other by gays, who are similarly repressed. But you must realise the essential difference, and this I know you know, because you and I both know that you are a woman, is that the issue for gays is sexuality and sexual attraction, not gender. They are entirely happy in their male gender and in fact dismissive of female gender.

Transwomen's issue is with gender, not sex, or sexuality. Transwomen have the sexual appetites they feel comfortable with as women--and like the sprectrum of g-women, there are all orientations from super-straight to strongly lesbian and bi. No one should be surprised at this.
