My best friend and i got into a discussion once when i 'confessed' to him a fascination with transsexuals. I have NEVER had any attraction to any man and no desire to be sexual with a man. Tgirls are girls. Thats fairly simple, and generally agreed upon on this board (and others somewhat like it).

IF tgirls are girls... then I fail to see how guys being attracted to them can be precieved as gay.

Now if the guys are only attracted to them because they have a dick and would be turned off by the same person, if they had a pussy... then maybe I could agree with the whole gay argument.

It's not that simple... saying you have the brain of the opposite birth sex is one thing, actually having that brain is an other.

Male and female brains are different structurally, they look different, they work different- this is indisputible.

What some research has proposed, is that mtf ts's actually have the brain of the opposite (physical) birth sex. I'm not up on the studies so I can't comment there.

I won't deny that alot of people are misdiagnosed (and that can be taken in both ways- that some people who are ts are not diagnosed with GID and some who are diagnosed aren't really GID).

Pending research on the subject I would not be opposed, depending on what the science determines, losing the cookiecutter shrinks/quacks for a more scientific (like a brain scan) diagnoses procedure.
