It is the secret playground for the Saudi's. They launder money through Bahrain and go there to party as they are very lax. Not sure of where to go but email some of the girls on Vicesisters.com for advice before you go because the Internet is closely monitored. There are a bunch of girls that make the loop around Asia and the Middle East.

That is how they bust the gay parties in Dubai even though they work around the Internet blockages.

Seanchai, I'm jealous. I've been through a good amount of the Middle East, but have never made it to Bahrain. I've been told by an associate who's been there that taking time to visit the ruins is well worth it.
