View Full Version : Who thinks it time to break the board up somewhat?

Seems like 90% of the topics are sexual related. Nothing wrong with that but I see by other post there's the desire to talk to each other on a more personal level without talking about body parts and what or how you wanna lick somebody.

I think General Discussion should be kept to non-sexual content and move all sexual content to Off Topic or something like that.

Just my .05, I only had a nickel.

I agree and made a post to that effect a few days ago. It would be nice to have a folder where non-porn related topics can be encouraged. The conversations with the girls do not have to be on a personal level as a few of the girls may not be willing to give out a lot of personal information but hey we can talk about music, movies, etc.

There are girls who have a lot to offer in terms of opinions and knowledge, much more than tits and dicks, and some of the recent conversations have discouraged their participation. Posters like Allanah and Felicia should feel that this forum is a place where they can post and not feel threatened. It would be a shame to lose them and their contributions to the board. The girls here help overcome peoples stereotypes with regards to the transgendered lifestyle.

The reverse would be better, an off-topic board for everything non porn. We'll take it under consideration.

Ridiculous. Following through what is being suggested would be akin to an airport seeking ways to increase their airline leases by removing the runway. Though I agree non-porn issues should have their place and be encouraged, it is the porn topics which are the biggest hub here, and well, what people come in here mainly to view and talk about.

That's my two cents.:)

Without running an analysis (either through web metrics by analyzing the traffic to different threads over say the last month or two, or simply by counting the number of views and replies to each thread), my general sense is that non-porn topics get a great deal of traffic (despite--or perhaps at least partly due to--how these topics too often decay into rants between certain members), perhaps even more traffic per topic than porn-oriented threads do. This would suggest that splitting into two main sub-forums (porn and non-porn) would make sense. But I'm not sure if that would really play once put into motion: would most people simply come (no pun intended) to the one sub-forum, as they do now, and ignore the other? After all, there are over 1400 topics and 17000 posts in the General Discussion forum and only 81/153 in Personals, 23/84 in Reviews, 10/23 in Buy/Sell, and 58/120 in Requests. Would this change with a split of General Discussion into Porn and Non-porn? Are these other forums not popular because of their subject matter or because people bookmark the General Discussion forum and go directly there?

I think it would be interesting to give it a try and find out. If mods were to judiciously move topics into the correct forum, perhaps it would help, but that would require more hands-on effort.

certainly a nice idea but akin to trying to control a conversation in a bar don't you think?

is it me or have there been far fewer posting in the past week or so?
